BTMusic :)
It's everywhere these days.
No longer a rare format, you can find it on numerous bittorrent trackers and newsgroups.
How about any rapidshare places?
A popular one is www.hqshare.net. A lossless music site with one click host would be great to know, although rapidshare go crazy with his captchas nowadays.
An english forum with a lossless section http://club-trance.net/board/index.php
I know some russian sites too for someone who cares.
A russian forum with very good lossless trance music http://www.dancegalaxy.net/forums/forum92.html.
Another russian forum with a lossless trance music section http://trancemotion.net/forum/index.php?showforum=25
A russian site again but with random lossless music http://tags.nnm.ru/lossless

THE LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR LOSSY MUSIC !
Hopefully e****
@skizo
hi there! yes, that's right...it's no longer uncommon to see lossless music on numerous trackers and music blogs as well.
what i was wondering, was whether there are any exclusive lossless trackers/ music blogs/ any other 100% lossless sources, which carry music you usually don't see in lossless formats, like oldies, traditional music, world, or any other rare music. most of the lossless stuff i'm seeing is usually classical music, there is lots of jazz, rock and other mainstream or "cult" genres...i am trying to figure out if there are similar places for rarer genres.
@rentnos
hey there! thanks for the links! do any of those sites carry music from the rarer, less popular music genres that i've mentioned at the beginning of this post? if they do, i will like to check them out! also, if they don't, and you know any other that do, feel free to pass on the links! cheers! :D
There are a couple of exclusive trackers.
Exig0 being the best (very tough to gain access, but worth the effort) and Pedro's BT Music (relatively easy to obtain) being a close second (IMO). Both offer exclusively lossless content, 99% being in Flac format.
You also have trackers such Waffles and What which offer a high number of Flac albums, though be certain to verify any rip you snatch as I've found numerous albums there which couldn't be verified and thus, I trashed them.
Music blogs? No idea.
Newsgroups has quite a bit. Not sure if you're acclimated with them but you could use a Usenet search engine to see if you find it worth learning.
hey skizo!
thanks for the newsgroup search engine links...i've been playing around with alt.binz for a couple of days now, and being so new, haven't really been able to find anything to my liking. but these links seem to have a lot more lossless than i've been coming across, so i'll explore them.
@skizo:
also, you talk about running a check through the downloaded files...is checking them with an antivirus software like McAfee enough, or are you talking about some kind of more refined or specialized checking...sorry if the question is a little too basic...i am quite a newbie when it comes to these things!
What.cd is a great source for Lossless.
I get my lossless pretty much exclusively from BTmusic(I would be using E also if I had it, of course). I trust and love their quality control. Actually, I check BTmusic first whenever I want a new album. And if they don't have it, then I'll go to What/Waffles to see if they have it in lossless.
ok..this is a bit off the topic, and i posted an entire new thread for it in the music section which no one responded to, so i'm just going to try it here: what do you think lies in the future for lossless formats? i was just thinking...here we are, with thousands of albums in lossless formats, and isn't it a little strange that we have to always come back to our computers to listen to them?
which brings me to my main question. do you think anyone's doing anything about it even as we write this, and is there any chance that we'll get to play this music on our hi-fis and dvd players anytime soon? would be nice, don't you think? :)
thanks skizo! that's settled then.
Tracker synclub - around 5500 releases of electronic alllossless.
I create/rip them myself using Foobar
Pedros BTMusic, What.cd & Waffles are all a fantastic source for FLAC...
I use BTMusic for my source and I must say it's one hell of a tracker :yup:
