Do you seriously miss Oink for appz? That's lame. I wasn't a member, but I'm pretty sure the music is what made it special. There are so many places with stupid 0day appz that I don't know where to suggest.

It seemed to be great, but I can't exacly say I miss it, because it was only a shrt period and What/Waffles came up realy fast with new and gfreat methods.
Anyway, I wish luck to OinK.

i was just a member of oink for a few weeks before it was taken down. from what i saw i don't see why people are missing it? what and waffles are filling the gap 100% from what i can tell.. they will soon have as many torrents each as oink had.. can someone please explain what made oink so special that i missed in the short period of time i were there? :)

I will say what came from the downfall of oink came two great communities. both the same but at the sometime different and one of a kind! its hard to explain if you were not there to see oink grow to the downfall and to the rebuilding of two great music community!
just enjoy what now is the two best music sites, waffles and what! and ask the members and they will have there own stories of oink and what it meant to them.
i miss the pig indeed, just because im nostalgic, What and Waffles make the job.
theres a big difference between random 0day appz packs and a collection of apps thats grew over years of requests, oink was the best tracker for apps :(Quote:

Though, I've found a good chunck of what I was missing, I'm still missing a good 25GB I had originally that I can't find on Waffles, What, STMusic, Libble, FunkyTorrents, IndieTorrents, KrayTracker, TranceTraffic, Elektronik, Twee, MyBloodyTracker, Newsgroups, SoulSeek, nor Rapishare links forums.
But, I had originally downloaded it from OiNK.
You can definitely say I still miss OiNK.
I'm one of the few people that still have an OiNK userbar,
and I don't see myself letting go of that for a while.
I'll stop using it when the combination of all those resources I listed surpasses the quality of OiNK.

waffles/what and Kraytracker are good, but it's definately a lot harder or even impossible to find some music now that Oink's gone..
i miss my buffer on Oink, but besides that i don't really miss it anymore

I still miss OiNK so bad it was simply the greatest music site you could possibly imagine. I'm registered at both what & waffles but am a what.cd man through and through I think it has the best community by far (Anyone remember the what.cd Drawball Project ? lol).
The only bad thing about what.cd is the removed the remember OiNK theme when they switched to the Gazelle code base, C'mon guy's don't forget where you've come from and you won't lose sight of where you are heading.

oink was definatly cream of the crop for music trackers. I still miss it to this day, but a while after they closed the site down, i was invited to what and waffles that keep me going, but ill always remember oink for its variety, speeds and excellent community.
