The Classic start menu style
new one for me
I prefer the Classic one
new one 4 me 2
Classic one is far better for me, as it allows you to be more organised about things. For easy access to your programs, put an auto-hiding toolbar at the side of your screen:

New One!
Classic one!
I am more used to finding things coz of using earlier versions of Windows secondly its more organized and easy for me to find things.
definetly the new one!!
Classic definitely. As stated much easier to organize.
Classic
Doesn't use your processing power on fancy dan graphics. It's easier to work with and I don't feel like a tellytubby when I look at it.
Ummm... Lamsey ?? Classic ?
Confused I think...
This is the classic theme >> http://members.shaw.ca/userkey/userkey/XPview2.jpg
And this is the XP theme >> http://members.shaw.ca/userkey/userkey/XPview1.jpg
The Classic themed desktop does not have any rounded toolbars or taskbars. That is only available in the "new" XP theme.

Do you see the light now?
Still looks like XP to me :x
And there's nothing classic about XP http://www.ml20.nowinbeta.org/smilies/badair.gif
Now this is classic >> http://www.windowblinds.net/skinning...s/1-skin46.gif
I prefer the XP style start menu.
Once you get used to its layout its alot nicer than the classic. I don't use XP themes though only classic themes. Then I get the new menu and don't feel like a teletubby when looking at it.
sure......... but my comp only has 192MB.............. now doin taht like u did would leave me....... wot? 3MB 2 work with?Quote:

na, just gimme the 98 look.............. i have a quicklaunch bar wit al my progs on there, and i put it on the left of the screen and set it 2 sink away so it wun bother me unless i need it............. 2 bad it wun auto apear when i move my mouse 2 the left like in 98.................
well i like classic style (the button and taskbar), but the xp menu cuz its organized... so i choose classic view but new menu :D
DWk
I prefer to have no start menu, but that's probably just the extremely classic me talking. I use quick launchers, and a classic start menu, which is the closest I can get to making it vanish.
It will if you set the toolbar to 'auto-hide' and 'always on top' ;)Quote:

Classic for me... it's just a habit I got from years of using win 98SE...
i got a question, does the new 1 really uses up a lot resources as compared to the classic 1
I totally agree :) I hate the classic one, it looks good on Windows 9x/ME but for some reason it just looks suckass on XP...don't know why <_<Quote:

i like the new one better
Definitely prefer the new menu system.
You know Xp still comes with Progman; it's located in the system32 folder, so if you really want it to look like 3.11. You can always change it to the shell.Quote:

Actually that would be kinda cool, seeing a new machine, running XP, and using Progman as its shell.
how did you manage to take a screen shot of my pc  :lol:Quote:
