Well you can only answer that properly if you have used both to their full extent available.
And if one was banned from one and not the other, then that will probably cloud their judgement, obviousment there.
And as for choosing apples over oranges, or black over white, or ying over yang, who cares really, just be content with what you have, and if something happens to be offered to you that appeals to you, then embrace it with open arms. And if you get there and you don't like it, then that happens also - just move on.

They have more of a community feeling in my opinion.

PTN is ok but they're down alot of the time.
I like iTS' layout and perm freeleech, and ScL for its community and specialty packs.
Altho iTS' packs are sick too.

It is kinda sad because, mainly scl imo, is trying and using some very creative ideas (like the multiplier etc) but it's really hard for some small tracker to survive when the "big players" like sct, ftn, scc and others are also moving forward. Freeleech packs almost everywhere nowadays, ratio free ftn and many many other good-for-the-end-user things happen everywhere!

I prefer ScL due to the fact that iTS just sucks. The community is a joke and the torrents are almost as bad as iFi's.

I'm only a member at ScL. I had the option to get into iTS a while ago but I didn't take it. I've heard a lot of bad stuff about it. Seems to me as one of those trackers that is wanted by many just cause it's rare.

I'm on both. Here are my thoughts:
ScL has a considerably more active community, and a better porn forum than iTS does. Of course, the members also seem much more immature. I also like ScL's innovative efforts like Torrent Multiplier. Neither have breathtaking speeds, though thus far, ScL has been better for me. I like the content of iTS much more, both in terms of formatting (most of the stuff is unrared), and that it is much more oriented towards quality cinema instead of popular scene material. And of course, their seeding rules (ratioless) are much better, and gets rid of the need for TM-style innovation. Also, there is a particular game in the arcade I've not seen elsewhere that I quite enjoy (hint: it involves a shoe). Both have great designs too.
Generally, I like both, with iTS being better for content, and ScL slightly better for forums. Of course, the comparison is a strange one, since they the only thing they share is a disinterest in having their url shared.
