Guide To Avoid Fake Mp3s!

Step 1
Click More Search Options
Step 2
Click Artist, then type the name of Artist
Step 3
Click Title type name of song
Step 4
Click Quality, select IS and Click on 192 or whatever you want. You can narrow your results better by setting it on 192 because most files at 192 are real.
Step 5
Set the auto search more for 2 minutes
Step 6
Click search
Step 7
Compare the Lenght of the song by scrolling to the right and Download the one that is between the highest amount of time and lowest. Plus compare the number of users!
Optional
Click Integrity and select Excelent (Useful if you need to norrow results more)

Notice: The more details that you fill in, the results will reduce usually leaving the real files there.

To get the right song all u do is just auto search 5 or 7 times then align your bandwidth from greatest to least by cliking the bandwidth tab then u will see all the ones at the top have plenty of users about 30-1000 with outrageous bandwidth about 3000+ that's the RIAA fucked up songs so just scroll down to a file with about 2-8 users with about 300-400 bandwidth and that's the song and most time they will have 192 quality if you're lucky that's what I do and it never fails me.

actually it's not and if you read right it's not just the quality being changed.

btw is it just me or is it that if someone suggest something in this forum, someone just states negative thoughts and talks about how useless or whatever. It's the thought that counts. Remember that!

This also works, most of the time I do what I posted though. Also, people we are talking about Kazaa Lite K++. If you want to use SoulSeek or someother p2p software use it but the info on third party software is not needed. This was posted for fans of Kazaa Lite K++, not slow SoulSeek.

Btw I added your method to the guide!

I use K-Lite and I have a nice music collection. It's called listening to the files and knowing what you are looking for, which is why I made my guide. If follow my guide and the method by Gre1, you will find better results.

Btw I got one cd off SoulSeek and I did't like the interface and the quality was not any better than Kazaa Lite K++'s. Mp3's on SoulSeek are usually 192, which I can get off Kazaa Lite K++ with no problem.

Most Mp3s I downloaded were at 128 kbps ...
and my audiograbber also rips at this quality.

I will loo out for 192 kbps furthermore :)
but this search window where you can specific information doesn't it only
exist in original kazaa (yellow)?

Crashes my machines,
Plastic looking interface,
Queues, Queues and More Queues,
Limited amount of users.

Kazaa & Edonkey still run rings round it for Music if you know what you're doing B)

;) I will take a Album at 160 Bitrate or higher...but that is just because I am old and Ears not as good as they use to be.But when Ripping my own shit I do them at 192.

Guide was made for Kazaa Lite K++ but if you want to use SoulSeek go right ahead and do so. I've been using SoulSeekand now I realize it is a good program when get users to add you on their list. The only thing, it is slow sometimes! SoulSeek users if you want to use SoulSeek go ahead but don't insult the K-Lite community for sticking with Kazaa Lite K++. I only only said bad things about SoulSeek before because I felt offended because I use Kazaa Lite K++ and no problem getting full albums on there, I just posted my method of avoiding fakes because it works for me.

More ways to avoid the fakes:

Use the IP blocker Tool and keep it updated with the K-Lite list. So don't check "Update from the Peerguardian IP Database"

All RIAA fakefiles distributors are located in the US. So use Kazupernodes to stay away from Supernodes in the US.

Don't use the Search More because that may bring you back in contact with a US supernode

Don't use the Accelerator for the same reason.

Maybe this can be added to the guide?

An other way to sort out the screachy songs.

- search for 10-30 results and only the quality of you choice.
- pick a file with not to much users with bandwith 1000+
- close K++ and open K-dat
- delete users with 10-100+ MB/s bandwith.
- restart K++

Now users that share music at extremely high speeds have been filtered out.

through the last 3 pages.... SO funny.... :lol: :lol: :lol: newayz imma try
soulseek sounds crappy tho... and what ive seen of it on my mates pc looks
crappy too.... downloads way slower than me and hes on 2 meg ADSL compared
to my smelly cable.... but he seems to get on fine with a combo of soul, K lite
and... dare i say imesh lolol :blink:

and its true whatever someone was on about... dling at 192 uses up space a lil bit
to much.... only doing it coz i have too not like u notice the difference in quality...
unless its one of those ppl holding a microphone to the TV speakers lololo <_< ...
and personally think the help given so far has helped... not 100% effective but
better than dling the the dame song 20 times or waiting all day coz its got like
-400 bandwidth :lol:

I ran into these problems getting some Iron Maiden songs, and I noticed that there were the same results in most everything, and no matter how many users, the bandwidth was always 1045. So if you see alot of people running at this bandwidth, it's probably some RIAA drone machines.

That's what I said already 3906 is the max bandwidth u will see If u have auto search more selected it will continuing searching till it gets more users then u will see the bandwidth get to that number.
