It may not be the revolutionairy 80's mettalica but its heavy and sounds like a modern master of pupets! It suck when you first listen to it but after a few times listning to the album it sounds pretty good! what does every one think?

It sounds like a garage band recording that is 20 years old that Metallica recently dug out of the trash. And James Hetfield sounds like Bono from U2. :blink:

Soudns liek it was recorded onto tape
done in a gargge with garbage trash cans as the symbol
anything after the black album really sux IMO

It's pretty disappointing. I was hopping I would get better over time but I hasn't. Lar's drumming has got some kind of new hollow sound to it, theirs not enough of decent Kirk solos and James sounds different. Overall its pretty bad and too much like the garage days, before Bob Rock. If I wanted that then I'd listen to their older, better stuff...

I like it. Like you I listened to the album a couple times and for example "purify" sounds... ok
I thought it was crap,didn't like it at all. :(
yeah I have it 3 listens then that was it never listen to it again i think
I was disappointed as well, but maybe the mood will hit me right one day, and it will sound better. Music is good according to what kind of mood your in at the time...
I'll have to say that it has been one of the Top Albums I'm Proud That I Haven't Listened To (2003).

i think that they experimented and it turned out really good in my opinion.
the drums that lars is using i like. it definitly has a metallic feel to the whole thing, and i really dug into that. as a muscian i really admire them so it was an awesome album.
