I am using bitcomet for a while, but it always cause my lan network slow down a lot. Is utorent better than bitcomet?
I wonder they work the same way and doen't help.
Or how can I configure the client to limit the bandwidth?

Yes, IMO Utorrent is better than bitcomet.
First tho do a speed test on your connection and set the preference for bandwidth @ 80% of your max speed.
In Utorrent to adjust settings for bandwidth usage go to options ---> preferences ---> connection and input the value you want to use.
I've read that bitcomet ignored some bittorrent protocol rules, and that assisted some users in seeding where they normally would not. For this its banned on many private trackers.

I'm using utorrent; although, it has its own little controversy because it was acquired by media conglomerates whom wish it was 1984 - both proverbially and literally.
BitComet is a guarantee for being kicked in most private trackers.
well i dont know if its better but utorrent is the most popular tracker atm..
so that is telling something i guess...its very light on memory and cpu unlike other...
bitcomet is nicer imo
utorrent.i guess
bitcomet is the worst bit torrent client as it does not fully seed to the connections potential .. It also harms the Swarm speed by frequently discon itself to rejoin so that it gets higher download priority
I'm surpised it's still functional . I take it that you weren't using it on private trackers huh?
BitTornado pwns
Utorrent better than bitcomet !
this is the true .
i would not say it better.
it is just that utorrent only use small amount of ram and easy to use..
"Is utorrent better than Bitcomet?"
Answer : Yes, for sure :) As BitComet is banned at many torrent sites.
Just stick with Utorrent, its only 1 .exe, takes up very little system ressources and it has a million features :)
well, feature-wise Vuze owns every other BT client. People just prefer utorrent for not being so much resource hungry. for those like me who have a computer dedicated for filesharing, it makes no difference using Vuze. I'll definitely stick with it.
About bitcomet, stay away from it. Use utorrent or deluge if u want a lighter client.
much much better it rocks:D
Azureus FTW.
EDT: But µTorrent is better than BitComet, and it has proper Bittorrent manners
bitcomet is garbage. it's known as a "cheater's client" to staff @ many torrent sites. The best sites have banned bitcomet, thankfully. finally, many of us ban (in our client) any bitcomet peers from connecting to us for download OR upload, so by using bitcomet, you are potentially cutting yourself off from some peers as well
I was under the impression that most of the issues that bitcomet was having have been taking care of, but still I think most private trackers still don't like that client. If you are using mostly private trackers then I would definitely think about switching to µtorrent or Vuze if you don't mind the resources it uses. If you are just using demonoid, thepiratebay and other public trackers then it just comes down to preference, use whatever you like better.
uTorrent is far better than Bitcomet :)
BitComet ftw
Personally I prefer Vuze (formerly Azureus), but you should definitely pick uTorrent over BitComet.
uTorrent owns any other client :) Why? Because I use it ;p
utorrent > BitComet
the comparison is always between azeures Vs utorrent .....but to compare with Bitcomet is rather weired
utorrent is much much better
no contest
try halite client
Or deluge.
