I just say what I want, and that's what I'll get, if not, he or she gets dumped simple as that. I've got my priorities and I don't want to change them for anyone.

I'm pretty clear in what I want, and I expect others to be the same. People who can't be like that don't even get my attention or energy, I've got other things to do.
My advice: just ask them. If they don't give a clear answer: out they go

enough love and attention. Do something nice for her every now and then (take her out for dinner, buy her some flowers). Talk to her. Don't make fun of her in public. When with friends, always choose her side. Don't forget to tell her she's pretty and you still love her dearly. Make sure she knows you want a future with her. Don't drink too much, etc... you know, the obvious.

Have you ever heard the story about a she-lion whose lion-guy died and she found another lion? Well, she hided her cubs (if the new male had found them he would kill them) for a while, she got laid with the guy, and then presented the cubs to him as if they were his. And he bought it (lions cannot calculate a pregnancy). And it's not that the she-lion was smarter and could count.
