39% ;) /if you are good.../
If you worry about "levels" too much you'll just be like everyone else, and the point of a request thread is to separate yourself from everyone else.
But let's face it, doing the same mundane request threads over and over probably won't get you anywhere. I could go to the request section right now and find about 6-7 requests for the same tracker, that look virtually identical. Will any of them get the request they're asking for? Probably not. (Friends they've made noticing them and inviting them notwithstanding)
I think the right way to make a request for a site is to be unique and creative. That doesn't mean playing on someone's sympathy, or trying to be overtly humorous; just be truthful, if you really want it. Show why you deserve the site over someone else, be willing to provide profile links (not ratio proofs/screenshots, whenever I see those it just turns me off completely).
And of course, be active around here, help others, and make friends on other trackers. Being part of the torrent community as a whole will get you far. :)
Hope this helps.
if you good member
so you have big chance get all you want
if you bad user
forget
^ what he said
If u r able to understand it ..
good user here
proof from good sites
and not a trader
and you should be able to get it
Just from my point of view:
I recived 2 invites from users on fst since I joined and neither of them because of a request . Thanks guys , you know who you are :)
I mean I donīt care about levels at all but pretty many guys who have invites on high level trackers do. The thing is I actually have all trackers I would like to join exept maybe 2.And I think I wonīt get them in a request.
I've made one high level request and it was filled in a day. There are some really nice people here.
I don't want to beat an old drum, but if you are active and help others, others will help you.
Nemrac
Yeah people will help you. The only trackers where making a request is probably pointless are the unnamed ones - the "white rabbit" that Neo follows in the first Matrix, the Fight Club holding tracker, that specialised music tracker with LOSSLESS, the taste the rainbow place, and so on.
Any more down-to-earth sites you should gain access to with a well-thought-out request. And some friends work well to make your chances higher.
There is no rule about that.
Everything has to do with you and the way you are.
You make a request, no matters level, people who may help you -and if you look nice to them at a first glance- will search your history, if you fit with their personal preferences and tastes your chances are good.
It could happen than a known trader, a spammer or whoever makes a request and it will be fulfilled by somebody with similar views and thoughts about BT.
The thing is that if you are not active nobody knows how you are, no matters the path you chose, and then it will be really hard to get invited.
I calculated it at 18.6974%
double lag
100% if you know the right people. about 10% if you dont.
1.depends on the tracker u request
2.depends on u r history ;)
3.depends on u usuage/speed statistics
So ... 50% :)
The chances? Well, I've got excellent referrals, decent speedtests, proofs that I'm prone to have a 9:1 ratio at most sites(3:1 when freeleech/bonus not involved) - and I've gotten into 4 out of 7 of the sites that I asked for here.
The ones I didn't get are extremely hard to get into because invites rarely open or are just a pain in the ass to get.
True! It mostly depends what tracker you are requesting and how much activity you have. I would say 50% you get what you want, even if you`re new here.
I would say keep it that way and you are more likely to get into the trackers you want. But just don't expect it to happen overnight.
Most of them don't....you've got the odd few that trade but then tracker staff are always on the lookout for them and will disable their account if caught. What you will find is that most of those who do have invites are very particular who they invite as they themselves could be disabled if they invite the wrong person.
And it's not about speedtests or huge ratios....it's about building a good reputation for yourself in the BT community. If you do you'll get noticed and invited.
anybody who has been here for a couple years knows....
there seems to be a direct correlation between the number of smiley faces used and the success rate of requests
long story short....if you use more than 8 DIFFERENT smileys you will be 70% more likely to receive the invite you have requested.
good luck
true, but i dont go from person to person i know requesting anything unless its a special circumstance like i need to say something i wouldnt want everyone around here knowing which is rare. i usually just make a request here and those who know me always seem to read them sooner or later and pm me.
I think if you're a good user, and you're honest in your request, then it may happen. That's how I got invited into one of my favorites trackers, by requesting it. And that's how I also have invited some good users, by seeing their requests, and if I feel confidence about that person, then I PM'd him and ask for some extra info.
And now, speaking about chances, that depends on the tracker's level you're requesting. The higher level, the lower possibilities (most of the times, but this is not a rule). Higher level trackers don't give invites easily, but you never know If even staff from that tracker may see your request and invite you, if they think you are a good asset to their community.
Meh, I generally think that for "higher level" trackers, you need to be noticed. And you don't get noticed by requesting an invite, IMO. They come to you, you don't come to them.
Yeah, vinhkhang is a nice guy. He invited me to a site when he saw that it was in my list of Top 4 most wanted trackers. He didn't ask for proofs, or speeds, or anything. Just my e-mail :P And I'm doing pretty good with that account right now, so I think his trust paid off :P
0 % to 100 % is more than anyone could ever want .Good to hear all this stuff ;) .
56.76%Quote:
how are the chances to get an invite in a request?
100% if you are a good guy everywhere.
50% if you are a good guy just here.
0% if you are not a good guy here.
My advice is to forget about levels and research the various trackers. Go after the sites with content that interests you. There are some excellent low-level trackers out there.
For the high-level stuff, it's more about who you know, not the proofs you can post. No one in their right mind would give out an invite to a level 8+ site if they don't know you really well. Good things will come to you if you have a long record of quality posts.
Anything that I couldn't get through the people I knew, I requested here. And every single one of those requests has been fulfilled.
Its all about how you present yourself, and the responsibility you show to others in your words and actions. If you ask with little interest, you will receive little interest in turn.
Of course, nothing beats networking. The more friends you make, the more trackers you will find yourself in. IRC is a thing of beauty.
i find funny how people try to make a science of this, it's like if they wanted to learn how to lie to someone so that they would want to invite you
aren't we simply supposed to be honest and wait?
make friends on your the trackers that you have accounts , stay in irc forum mostly be active ;)
