I've had a page time out as well.
Something like you see on the temp. forum, with the reply box open below the last message, I think.

Yes, invision software offers this, however it is more demanding on the cpu besides using extra cookies.
Edit: Typo.
Hmmm, personally I don't see use for that, I think the Add Reply button is good enough.
