Every 3 Days At 1 Pm (gmt +1)

Every 3 days the webserve will be shutdown so that the server can create undisturbed a backup of the forum. So the server will be down every 3 days at 1PM ( GMT +1 ) for around 10 minutes.

You guys ever think of switching to VBulletin?

With a couple of pop ups on the main page of the forum you could make some money to pay for the bulletin.

Jelsoft don't like Board like this having a license.

Sharereactor had vBulletin ones ..

If i am not mistaken Invison is free.

Maybe thats part of the problem.

Vbulletin is very nice.

You could put pop ups for like a week and the board would pay for iteself.

Darker even said so himself in one of the threads that Vbulletin can handle a huge load.
And invison can't.

So why not switch?

Have you read my post ? We wouldn't have fun with a vBulletin license very long. But we could take down some sections like "Verifieds" and then it would make sense to install vBulletin.

Btw. Backups are also necessary with vBulletin :rolleyes:

Personally, I find the verifieds of any forum to be useless, but I'm new here, so things may be different in your neck of the woods. They always seem to die, and they rely completely on you being in the same server as the person publishing the HASH...

It's not 1PM yet but I have to do the new backup right away because I leave for a meeting :)

I unpinned it because the information is not right. We make backups but not every 3 days at 1 pm (GMT +1). That was just the first plan. We'll open a new thread related to very short backup downtimes next time we have one.
