Soulseek Problem

I see nothing here - anyone else see anything?

Please be advised that until this matter is resolved, the server is unable to take on new connections. In other words, if you are a user trying to log in, you will be unable to, though the server IS, in fact up. Additionally, if you close your client, reboot, or whatnot; you will also be unable to log back on to the server. Connectivity is, naturally, congruant with the domain being available. This will be remedied as quickly as possible.

Where did you read that, its not in the blog. So all that hostfile changing and what not is not working? :blink:

Well, that doesnt help me one bit since i dont even know where to find the damn hostfiles. I love you guys for helping eachother out here.... not! :(

Here is the fix:

Find your hosts file,
in Windows XP it is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 2000 it is C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 98 it is C:\WINDOWS\hosts
I'm not sure what it is in ME/95.

Now open the file with Notepad.
Add these four lines to the very bottom of the file:

38.115.131.131 sk2.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 www.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 mail.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 server.slsk.org

Now go to: File\Save (Not Save-As)

This will solve the problem.
