I hate those that don't share....

I wish there was an added tool that would let me share to others that do share... and block specifically those that don't...

Is there a program out there like this?

Which is the bad part about it.

Not a lot of people (that know about kazaalite block feature) use it.

so then the program just cuts off people like me and every body else who has their option setup so that no one sees their files, unfairly (aka the program is useless and might as well not exist)

Yes my name can be found alongside legit searches for individual files, but this mode makes it harder for the RIAA to discover what files I am actually sharing. I suspect that a greater number of users will become enlightened to this sooner or later, therefore any program that blocks users, purely on the aspect that no files could be searched for that user, will destroy Kazaa altogether or at least make it pointless to atempt a download.

This is the problem.

Noobs don't understand that. They think your not sharing right away and don't even think of the fact that you have the privacy patch on.

With the patch, there will never be a program that stops leeches untill the program is smart enought to tell the difference between the privacy patch and a user who is really NOT sharing files.

Right now, the only way to check would be to scan the @... section of the user name to see if K++ is installed... But that's faulty at best.
If somebody wanted to bother, they could modify the packets so an additional header, something like HTTP_USES_PRIVACY_PATCH could be sent along with everything else... That would be foolproof, but I don't see any volunteers...

If you did that then soon there would be a program to send the key along even if people are'nt sharing. It's just better not to worry about it and to share to everyone.

But even at that, it seemed pretty self-explanitory (well, to me at least), that the patch included with KLite++ 2.4.2 made the search results read "Search finished without any result", even though they were sharing their files. I thought the point was that when someone wanted to dl a file from a user, they would be able to dl that SPECIFIC file from them, but not have free and clear access to the rest of the files they're sharing. Why would someone think that receiving this message meant the person wasn't sharing their files? If you're already downloading a file from them, then they're obviously sharing SOMETHING, right?

Or does this have more to do with performing the search of a user who is uploading from YOU?....confused....

:rolleyes: I think the original thread meant he/she was searching users that were downloading from him/her, for the specific purpose of cutting them off if no results were found. This would still be a pain for the file owner anyway, due to Speedup/Accelerator continually reconnecting to the same source when stopped. The only other way to prevent the upload would be to stop sharing the file altogether, but this would spoil it for everyone too, stopping all from downloading.

So leave it alone .... LOL

I've gotten to the point where I'm thanking my lucky stars for that, I'm using Shareza and I've seen people share their C:/Windows folders, that's right, it ends up with about 1gig of useless .dll files that no one in their right mind would EVER want to download. On this point I know a man who claims to have compressed his C: drive and uploaded it onto Kazaa. There's being a tight fisted &$*^ and not sharing and then there's the insane reverse.
