I am running Ccleaner, Uniblue PowerSuite, Advanced system optimizer and the cleaner with trend micro. I don't really want to run so many but they all seem to find different things. If I run 1 after another they find things theothers didn't. Isn't there anything that cleans the entire system and optimizes it so I don't have to have so many programs?
The best one is CCleaner.

Not really for noobs tho . System Mechanic is another one that springs to mind .

I'd have to rank CCleaner as the best as well. That said, you can't really go wrong with it, or Tuneup (at least the 2008 version anyway, have yet to try 09)
Just set up a friends computer last night . After installing Eset , CC and Tuneup were the first programs I installed .
You sure have to smile after running the Start Up manager and System Optimizer .
Just D/L TuneUp 2009 , boy there sure is a lot of fakes out there . Seems hard to set up for noobies ( I had to scratch my bald head a few times ) but very precise .
Had to run Disk Doctor first before it would optimize my system but hey found a problem in device manager with a pointing device . I forgot I had tried to install a PS3 controller for Fallout 3 . I'm impressed , usually its just GUI improvements but seems like a whole new core .
Found a working copy but just one serial key so..... like that will last long .:lol:

Ace Utilities is very good, it cleans the usage tracks and it is very good as well for wiping the free space
While having it set for Pseudorandom Data which is 1 pass, for every 100 GB of free space it takes about 6 hours to secure over write the free space
If you have it set to the higher passes then it could take days to weeks to complete, because of that just select Pseudorandom Data, they haven't been able to recover data from a HD with a electron microscope for about 10 years now because the information on the platter is much more dence now days, because of this I believe that the Pseudorandom Data setting will be enough
another vote for ccleaner! Simply does the job.
CCleaner and Tune-Up Utilities. Eusing Free Registry Cleaner isn't so bad, either.

Yep, Your Uninstaller is really great and you have a lot of other options too.
I tend to use Registry Mechanic when I was still using xp. Now I use CCleaner as Registry Mechanic isn't supported on my new 64-bit vista OS.
Tune-Up Utilities 2009 the best
I use CCleaner the last three years.
I have never had a problem with my PC.

I've stuck with one though, and love it to death. Ace Utilities. It does wonders, it's fast, has some nice features. I install it on every windows machine i touch.
i hear ccleaner is good too, havent used it in awhile though.

I installed System TuneUp last night, ran the registry checker after using both ccleaner and TUU2009 and it brought up hundreds of problems.
The interface for the reg cleaner isn't as helpful or informative as AU but it does an excellent job.
Keygens for AU and STU are around but neither generate valid serials on x64 machines (x86 serials are different from x64 ones) so I'll need to uninstall it after the trial period. :(
