Played it for the first time tonight. No limit Hold 'em
Actually quite fun, though I have to say the blinds went up rather quickly.
I can recommend the concept if you enjoy the pokers.

I used to play on PokerStars habitually. I had racked up almost a million dollars in fake monies over about a 6 month span. I was beginning to think that maybe I should start playing for real cash.... then it happened.
I lost almost all of it in one hand. I had kings over aces; the other fellow had aces over kings. It was awful...
wow. that's awful. maybe that was not your day
you should only bet what you are prepared to lose.
/me plays on Ladbrokes sometimes
Yes I did remember, only because you didn't say it was online at first.
:lol::earl::harsh:
I remember when you first said it and I was all like "Fuck sake that's liberal". Then you explained that it was online poker and I was all like "Fuck sake, that's even better".
I play on PokerStars and Full Tilt.

You can play for cash or free.

I would love to try that.
I use Bodog. The poker is pretty solid, but I perfer it for the sportsbook more than anything.
Sportsbook
An online sportsbook is pretty much your personal bookie. You can place bets on anything from how long a celebrity marriage will last to the NFL to the Premier League to horseracing from your local horsetrack.
These days he can be happy if I bring him a can of beer whilst he's playing poker.
Seedler sent me a pm to a site that he plays poker on. It's not poker in the conventional
sense.

I was playing a league. No real moneys involved, but plenty of prestige.
I did it on a Celtic forum, they have a link to a poker thing. So it means you can have tournaments with groups of people you know from the forum.
It all appears to be run from this http://www.pokermavens.net/ but the prog itself runs from the forum.
I think this is where the software comes from http://www.briggsoft.com/pmavens.htm
Looking at it, the version I was playing on the Celtic forum must have been the pro one, it's got all those features.
we should totally get tesco to set up a lounge poker thingy.
maybe a snap one for the bittard section too, like.
The lite one might work if you only wanted single table play. I've not seen it in operation tho'.
We could use pokerth. It's free and runs on pretty much every OS.
what about the one bd mentioned, pokerstars?
It seems good too
