this is the nomination thread for the poll for best bittorrent newcomer 2008.

edit: GFT may be a good competition.

LOLSkittles, there's simply no way I would ever consider a "secret" tracker that "we all don't know about" to be the best

Does demonoid count? Because I'd probably go with that. If not TC or SDBits

I'd bet on the main contenders being GFTracker and SDBits. Other good nominations are TV Vault or even TorrentIt, considering how TiT restarted from absolute scratch.

GFT for sure... tc, sdbits are okay, but GFT made a real kick-start

..knowing the OP habits, i have a strange impression that the thread was made to provoke interest to skittles. wonder why ttc wasn't mentioned in his post :whistling

For me,the return of demonoid(not a newcomer site by any stretch) was an important victory against anti-piracy orgs and the biggest event of 2008(torrenting wise).
For us Indians that doesn't mean shit but in the wild wild west I guess it has some significance.

It's also worth mentioning the launch of gazelle which might be used in full flow in 2009.

I think the best newcomer site for 2008 would probably be a toss up between tehconnection and GFT. GFT might take the cake considering how much they've achieved in a short span in an almost sellout market of 0-days. PTN and TV-Vault definitely deserve a mention.

GFT for the impressive pretimes only comparable to SCC

SD Bits.

Since this is NOMINATIONS, and not the poll yet, I'll nominate Save The Coratee :)

great . everyone has forgotten StB , which has pretty decent Mobile content . also one more forgotten and a decent Movie tracker is PTP which has around 2500 movies atm in a short time .

Anyway, Movies + Flac sounds pretty pointless for me when for movies we can use like more than 20 trackers and for flac E**** is the best and will always be, don't tell me it's hard to get in bla bla bla, yeah it's hard if you are a fucking collector but pretty easy if you are a flac lover.
