you want to reseed several files you have on your hd, parts of a season pack for example, but the filenames are different to those in the torrent you downloaded.
can utorrent reseed them without the need to rename every single file?

I'm not 100%, but I believe the file names have to match in order to be checked. Now the folder that contains all the data can be named differently, just click that folder when browsing to the save location, and it will verify the files inside (as long as the file names match up)
i wanted to know if it can reseed without the filenames matching
no it cant. it needs to be EXACTLY the same
EDIT: the file names need to be exactly the same aswell as the torrent includes folders, these folders need to have the same name on your hd.
I think that the filenames have to match in order to be able to reseed.
allright. azureus can reseed without renaming. i just wanted to know if utorrent has this feature as well. seems like it doesn't.

yes there is a function for it with new versions of utorrents..
my pleasure :P
you can try, make utorrent re-check the files before you enable to seed, but i believe it will not work
EDIT - oooppps RedRanson was faster :P i didn't knew this new funtion cause I have not updated my utorrent yet. Thanks!
I didn't know this either! sorry for the wrong answer then polarbear.
thanks :D
Thanks RR.
Been looking for a shortcut.
Nemrac
on a side note: azureus has that function for over two years...
but on the other hand, azureus slows down the system way more than utorrent... that's just a matter of priority (and a matter of ram).
Wasn't aware of this feature since I have not yet downloaded the new utorrent. Will have to get it as soon as possible :-) Thanks for letting me know!
