Thanks but what I want to know is the highest resolution possible I can get with my screen
I don't suppose you've got your monitor manual? maybe a quick check on the manufacturers website?
What screen? Perhaps you could tell us the model?
doesn't matter what screen, the important thing is if your video card supports it
check your maunals it should say
It matters. I think it's a combination of the video card and the screen.
It was made by both or one of those companies: TüV-Rheinland & Likom-technology. The first is german and the second malaysian
The model is: L705XXX
It does matter.Quote:

No. Mine must be an older model.
But now I can find it by myself Thanks guys! :)
dont put the Res to high so ur Video Card doesn't support it or you'll have some problems that can get real bad. but since u seem to know what your doing them go for it.
Keep increasing the resolution until you find one that doesn't work. You will be asked if you want to keep the resolution and have 15 seconds to respond. If you don't respond it should go back to what you had before, but sometimes the switch back doesn't work and you will have to reboot, but after rebooting things will be ok again.
If you get to the max resolution allowed by your graphics card, you won't know the actual max resolution (of the monitor), but that won't matter unless you are selling the monitor or thinking of buying a new graphics card.
It's a pity I didn't red your message yesterday, cos I set my resolution out of range, and had no solutions but to format my hard-disk and setup again my os and all my programms, which I didn't finished yet. :pirate: :'( :swear:Quote:
