though I haven't used any of the others you have listed except v0rtex

i use isohunt and btjunkie.
will give those a try though.

I'm also a fan of torrentz, used to be an alternative search for me, but became my primary search. However, I created and uploaded a torrent to monova and btjunkie and it still hasn't shown up on their search results; that makes me very sad.

+1 for google. But i use it very rarely (for torrent searching).

I use one called torrentini

scrapetorrent is pretty okay.

torrentfinder because it searches over 165 torrents sites and trackers (btjunkies and torrentz included).
