there is going to be one. it was due to be released - cant remember when but then it got delayed
EDIT - Link http://www.betanews.com/article.php3?sid=1060997150
AFAIK late this year. But I'm going to try to wait at least a month after it's out until I install it. Cause I have a Devil's Own copy (EPO). And getting SP1 to work right after it came out was a bitch. So after a month there should be a standard workaround. And it should be known by then whether M$ installed any timebombs etc with SP2. Cause M$ is tricky.
ah probably gonna shutdown even more pirated users
heh there's allways some crack to fix it.
Even if microsoft makes an O/S which only runs on comps with a Microsoft Certified Licenese Card (goes in PCI slot).. they will start making Mod Chips or something that will act as one.
That sound jsut about like you wolfmight, always trying to find a way around it.
I cant wait. That would be funny though, so funny.
last i heard, SP2 is set to be released i think in Q3 of next year but i also heard that microsoft is working on a security rollup package that is set to come out this year.
Service pack 2 better be better than service pack 1 was. The first one sucked.
Ha, all of you have to suffer when SP2 is released, whilst I safely install it from the Windows Update site, due to the fact that I have a legitimate and authentic version of Microsoft's OS. :P In the Add or Remove Programs list, it shows that I have quite a few SP2 updates already.
Ha! Windows Update works fine with the Corp Edition. :PQuote:

Windows Update works fine with my Pro version also.
I visit MS.com frequently.
The buffet is wonderful!
Yeah, it works fine with my  XP Pro  too. All the sp2 updates are there.
All that SP1 did against piracy was block a lot of dodgy keys, forcing everyone to change their key. Which was very easy. Don't really see what they can include in SP2 which would be so bad.
there was on sharereactor an ed2k link with sp2 beta and win xp pro it mentions the sp2 is beta but m$ wont make any changes to the retail version. i can get the ed2k links if anyone wants them. its made of bin and cue file. also serial included in nfo

Windows XP SP1A Gold Is Out.[QUOTE]
Is that a joke? Cause I almost spit on the screen laughing.
Some of you have SP2 on Add/Remove list?
You better disable Windows Auto Update or else you'll just become another test tube for Micro$oft. :D

No, not SP2. Just 'Hotfixes' that will be part of SP2 when it is released. That is not the same thing. I suggest you check your critical updates. And no, i don't have auto update enabled.
ME TOO ! :-)Quote:

The last changelog i saw of SP2, it had over 200 hotfixes in it and that was a couple months ago at least. Windows Update is all fine and good but M$ does not even release half of the updates they make to the site anyway. If you want most of them, you have to download them manually.
