Just noticed "Dragonball Evolution 2009 CAM XViD-HooKa" surfacing around cyber space.
So my first question is:
1) Is this a complete load of hollywood overrun, fan hype piece of shit?
2) Does this stay close to the story line of the traditional Dragonbal manga?
Obviously I'm not going to download a cam. I'll wait for a HD Rip or DVD :w00t:, and if I like it i'll buy it :shifty:

I watched a trailer not long ago. It wasn't an anime, it was an American movie. Wtf.

I'm a massive Dragonball fan, and have been a fan since 2000 when I was downloading fansubbed episodes on various p2p software such a Kazza and WinMX.
Of course, the movie isn't exactly popular among the masses, as it is not true to the original. Goku is now a school boy which gets bullied, wants to 'get the girl' and experiences teenage boy troubles.
I watched the film not expecting it to be loyal to the manga or anime, and I told myself I would judge it as a film on its own. I still hated it. It was extremely boring and I didn't find myself attached to any of the characters by the end.
Don't bother with this. Watch Dragonball Kai instead.
i went in to this show knowing little to nothing of DBZ. i've seen bits & pieces of the anime here and there and it never really quite settled in good. anyway, this film was pretty horrible and my buddy IS a DBZ fan and he was very disappointed. chi chi is the only thing that kept this film going. she's pretty damn hot. fight scenes were to fast and non-existent. it seemed they tried to cram as much info in the movie in as little time as possible. 80 mins really isn't enough time to explain anything that has never been explained be4. too bad. 5/10

Sad.. I'd been a little excited on the prospect of what they make out of it..
^^^It's really as bad as IMDB viewers say it is. I'm not a hardcore Dragon Ball <insert saga here> but I found it had no real plot, terrible acting and cgi was over climaxed.
When I watched DBZ as a kid I remember King Piccolo having some sense of humor, in the movie he was dry and stale.
