More likely they're just not popular anymore and not worth the effort.
They were a shambles anyway.
They have also suggested that kids should keep in contact with their buddies via IM. Sounds like a good idea, until you realise that if their 'buddy' is actually a paedophile, they will be chatting with them in a completely private, unmoderated medium. Not a good idea.
I must say my only experiences of them were of very young people talking and also lots of porn invites.
But by closing the UK ones only are they saying something deeper about our country?
They are closing all European ones, and all US free ones, keeping just a subscription service in US.
