Like the title says im looking for some ideas for a new tracker,ideas must include-
Source you want.
Content you want.
Things you like to see on a tracker.
Things you dont like to see.
Things important to you personally.
And also what you want out of the tracker.
This really is a chance to say what you want to see and hopefully get it. If your just going to post theres so many 0day sites already forget it then dont.

And also what you want out of the tracker : The main thing is to get data from the tracker .. but it will be hard if u r making a 0day to challenge the use of tracker .. coz most people use revtt, TL , others as their primary source ..

Content : Music ... lots .. all genres . OR , u can start a speciallized tracker .. for trance or house ...

It really takes lots of money and connections to build a competitive 0day tracker. I'd rather like to see a specialized content. The things that come to my mind are:
-Literature Only (And I dont mean e-learning)
-Music-Videos (A competition to the music-vids that is the only specialized tracker in this category)
-Specialized Knowledge content (Like AOM for Magic, Occult.bz for occultism etc) - this can touch pretty much any topic.
-Art/design tracker (where people can also publish their own work)
-Particular Sport tracker (for example soccer)
-Specialized Music Tracker (i.e genre, language etc).

Create a magazines and ebook tracker only. I would leave it on free leech and anyone should be able to upload content. Of course there should be rules for uploading. I think that it being free leech and users being able to upload content should make it grow fast. Leave it open untill it has a descent user database and lots of content. It should be organized with categories for everything.

A (strictly) scene music tracker with a proper archive is currently lacking, as discussed in other threads already.

Most of the bases have been covered in the bittorrent world to be quite honest. I highly doubt any more 0-day sites are needed.
How about you think about what interests you the most? No point in creating a tracker focusing on something that doesn't interest you.

I vote alongside those who say we need more m-vid trackers.
Its ridiculous that there is no other good enough option other than m-vids.
Yesterday some dude requested for a HD music video tracker and looking at my resources i only found a total of ~200 irrelevant HD vids in BT,yet on DDL sites i could literally find any video that i was looking for.Sometimes keri hilson is a better fantasy in HD and its high time trackers took this seriously.
I agree,we don't need another 0day tracker,there's already enough of those and you will be wasting your time trying to compete with the already established ones.no matter how hard you try to juice it up.perhaps this explains the disparity in snatch counts in places like TL,revTT and IPT compared to the other 0day sites.
Also i don't know if am the one who isn't searching well enough but the only places where i have been able to find cannes film festival movies have been public trackers,so it would be cool if these and other similar festival flicks were on a private tracker.
Those two would be my two main preferences.
Others would include a section in the forums dedicated to 'secret' tracker reviews only,with real screenshots,not photoshop creations of invite dreamers.some of these screens are floating around public trackers so it aint hard to find em.
It would also be cool to have a dedicated ebooks section,for those of us who are addicted to plagiarism.
You could also include RS and MU links on torrents,for those who are afraid to leech at times like say now with TL.
Lots of links to adultfriendfinder amateur videos would be awesome too.
Fake tracker lotteries are kinda popular atm too so you might wanna check into that also..

Like what sez said, there is great potential for a mvid tracker because I'm sure many people really love their music and m-v is really hard to get in :/
I'm also always thinking, bordering on the worrying side, if a tracker is too great (providing vast, special content), that there is gonna be a huge alert at those commercial corporations. Definitely would not want to have Operation Ark Royal Part Deux :S

That already exists, but the without the retention of Softmp3. So I agree with you, as I wrote earlier in the thread, a proper, strictly scene mp3 tracker (not specialised, but general) in the mould of Softmp3 is really lacking these days.Quote:

As others have explained already, the mp3 packs on general 0day trackers like SCC (a site which I'm not on btw.) can't be searched / sorted by genres properly. Yes, they are a temporary workaround, but a strictly scene mp3 tracker with good retention is simply lacking. There are no two ways about that.
Of course the other general music trackers like What are excellent, but it still would be nice to have a scene mp3 tracker (with good retention) in addition to that. Not all scene groups are hopeless, there actually are quite a few good groups out there. And the scene tends to be faster with new releases also, often (considerably) earlier than retail.
This made me giggle, but I would like to see a decent textbook tracker. That way, I'll have an excuse to buy me one of them kindle thingies for college. It would cover the cost and then some in later years.Quote:

What seems pointless to you does not have to apply to others. In my humble view, TV show trackers are totally pointless, for example (I don't watch TV shows, and there is even less appeal for me to actually download and watch them again...), yet I would never question that others see it differently, and there obviously is demand for it.
As long as there is demand, it's not pointless to fill it.
i do agree with Villalltheway and i also wonder what's the point in downloading exclusively scene mp3 releases.

There is demand for scene mp3s, hence there is demand for a scene mp3 tracker with good retention. There really is nothing more to add to this.
ok, let's put it another way: what makes you love scene releases enough to wish for a tracker entirely devoted to this category ?
i know there is demand for scene mp3's but i want to know your point of view about that.
I've been hoping for a music tracker that uses no compression formats. Personally, I have many tb's of space and don't see the need to compress to flac. Mp3 is great but i can make my own if i need to. Thanks for listening and i hope to see this in the near future. Oh, please send me an invite if this becomes a reality.
