As from today all invites will be removed from all user classes.
Only VIP members will be allocated invites after a 5-10 day period.

aww great thats all we need, another pay for invites site, makes me want to donate less not more.
What a bunch of pukes , pay to invite my friends .. not bloody likely . Oh well not like I was using them anyway , I had 10 left . :mellow:
These guys are funny if they think everyones going to be forking over cash to get into ipt, good site but I dont think so.
another tracker tries to save itself from inphiltration..LOL
it doesnt really bother me, coz i wasnt using them as such.

well its kinda weird. They should have left them in members accounts like they were (Read: Untouched :P)
I dont get the point of revoking the invites if things would go back to normal (ofc the number of invites floating in the system would decrease, but it would not make much of a difference..would it?)
maybe they are sick of being a low level tracker , maybe they are trying to be l33t and stuff
I'd say two reasons
a.to bring in more donations.
b. TL being infiltrated so they dont want to see their invites are all over the place up for grabs for strangers.
Must be the latter since the Torrentleech thing happened not long ago if I'm not wrong, they have been generous with the invites for a really long time.Quote:

So power users will receive invites. They have a system like TL now. I am PU there and I receive 1 invite every few weeks.Quote:

Every Month VIPs and Power Users will receive invites.
VIPs = 3 invite/month + if they donate, they will get extra invites.
Uploaders = 1 invites/month.
Power Users = 1 invite/month ( if 1 invite not used, next month system will not give another invite, so better use it and get a fresh invite next month ) !
my account died there a while ago, doubt ill be fighting to get back in now there tryna get 1337

Whether you agree with IPtorrents or not they've been way to generous with there Invites for a long time.
I had lots of Invites there as well but never used them, never Intended to use the either.
On the long term It will probably be a good move for them, getting ride of the leechers and cheaters

'Levels' have fuck all to do with the quality and reputation of a tracker, and 'being l33t' has even less to do with it, if that even exists in the bittorrent (= filesharing) world.Quote:

Personally It doesn't rely matter whether I've got Invites or not, IPtorrents Is still a great place.
Great content and was way over generous with there Invites for to long If you as me, but there staff finally got wise.
Are people bent out of shape about it because it just became a bit more difficult to get BT Rep? :whistling
I wasn't giving out many invites to IPT anyway so it means nil to me. IPT is a great site... maybe this change will cause people to value their accounts more.

The new invite rules are as follows:
After 5-10 days, we will:
