Did you update your soundcard drivers?
also check the plug for ur speakers to make sure it has broken or anything, but most likely its ur soundcard drivers
nop, how do i find what my speakers are called because it doesnt say on them and all it says in the book that i got it from Stereo Speakers and creative soundblaster 128 sound
u could try windows update, or these drivers http://files.europe.creative.com/manualdn/...rvsV5_12_01.exe
Ive had a look about my pc and i think i have got Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373)
will they work with Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373)?Quote:

if you get stuck for drivers go to www.driverguide.com user --> drivers pass --> all
I cant find the drivers i need on that site :(
try here Should be it
im afraid theres nothing in the zip file when i download it :(Quote:
i was just wondering, could this have anything to do with my codecs?
give the file i gave u a go, its for the soundbalster pci 128, which should be ur card. if its not compatabile then it wont install,
when you clicked on the link to download did it go to another page where you have to enter a number?
if not turn off you download manager
the soundcard drivers u got atm r da ones built in 2 win xp! i had some probs wid dem aswell, get da proper drivers off da creative site.

That hasnt worked :( When windows starts up the start up sound is fine and doesnt crackly so is there a problem with windows media player?
try winamp, windows media player sucks ass. get winamp 2 series. or winamp 5.
Yep, it'll be drivers. Try also updating your motherboard drivers. You should obtain the latest driver releases for all your hardware.
Also, and this might be new to you, you might need to update your bios. Post your motherboard make and model if you're not sure and someone here will check it out for you.
soz, i dont know how to find out what motherboard i have got :(Quote:

You could look inside the case on the board itself. A manufacturer and model number will be there somewhere, near the edge.
i just installed musicmatch and the sound is fine so its something to do with windows media player
