I would say it is a small, but very small, step in the right direction for the RIAA when they warn people before suing them.
But I thank God I don't live in the U.S. of A. Hopefully we won't have this kind of problems in Spain or Norway for years to come yet!

It went from some good news in that link to a very disturbing picture in this forum! That RIAA fag is on the forum kill him!!!
Other than giving people some more time to find a lawyer, I don't see what difference it makes.
There are people who haven't gotten ANY warning until hit with a court summons for multiple crimes.Quote:

This should help warn those directly affected, however it will allow RIAA to 'bury' their mistakes before the press (and us) can find out about them.
We'll never hear about them suing 12 year olds and grandmothers again unless THEY tell us.
Guess what the RIAA only has any power with corrupt politacally appointed USA judges. The world shares
It's only some US politician (Who's been bought) so what!
The senators and Congresmen of the USA do not own the world.
Paranoia destroys lives.
and im safe down here in asutarlia so I can be ignroant about the whole thing
They're backing down because they are losing the battle. File sharing is here to stay, so the record companies and artists better soon get with the program instead of trying to fight it. I'm not in the US, but I follow this closely, and from what I can see RIAA doesn't have a leg to stand on - but on the down side, people get all freaked out and bow to Big Red. Any good lawyer should be able to get it thrown out as there are so many holes in the DMCA.Quote:

By the way, you notice that the only artists that are really bitching about this suck. You'd have to pay me to download or listen to LL Cool J or Metallica. Fingernails on a chalkboard make better music than these no talents.
