Question:
The couple of years that I have had my PC, I have been able to install any version of a Norton product and never once has it asked me to input any sort activation key or code to open or use it. And it has even registered me for the free year subscription service for Live Update.
Is there any reason to believe that this would nolonger be the case if I were to eventuallu upgrade to the Norton 2004 Pro version suites?
Norton alone needs a actvation code. Systemworks dosent, so dosent corporate.
Thanks SH for the torrent file.

Yeah i download it and it was .msi file. Now i know that microsoft uses that and it should work, but it come up as a text file. I tried to write back but couldnt find the post you made. ;)
None of the versions I had ever downloaded from Kazaa or installed were corporate versions. Everything was straight retail.Quote:

The one where you posted the Skin Crafter software. Well anywayz it dosent matter i figured out why it goes to a text and dosent install. I am trying it out now.
It wasnt what i ecpected, it like a minature programming program. It makes the GUI but dosent do much else.
Well Norton Personal Firewall should be on this so why are you waiting for it too leak  . I rather wait for the Professional version of this to leak or Systemworks Pro!

has nebody else installed it yet, cuz i downloaded it yesterday and it doesnt work. it just automatically exits itself from the taskbar. it even messed up my nav 2004.
I would like to know if anyone has a working version also.
I have tried every version I can find on emule... Still no luck. :(
If I find one I'll be sure to post it. :)
Yes please, I am very interested in this software. Thanx.
Dont waste your time downloading this. It doesnt work. It exits automatically as
ultimatejester said. And plus it messes up your other norton products.
Well I'll just stick with NIS 2003. Fuck Activation.
Antivirus products have always been easy to get, easy to update, even for free, because if you're online and you have an infected system, well, that just makes more work for companies like Norton and McAfee. So I always thought their leniency with downloading programs, updating old versions, etc., just showed their commitment to secure computing. I could be wrong on this one.
But I frown on any program that makes you jump through hoops to use it. If you PAY to use a program, for example MS Windows XP Pro, you shouldn't have to activate it.
Now I ain't sayin' they should make it easy to steal, but I think they make enough money off of corporations... shit, Internet security and Antivirus should be a given in an OS!
