Linux/XP
Windows 7
Windows 7... One can't stay in XP forever. Big improvement over vista, in almost every way.
I agree. Windows 7 is running smoothly so far,and it's very easy to use. So easy, even a caveman can do it!
Black XP 33 .
i'm using win7.
It is comfortable UI.
You could think win7 is combination of xp(speed)+vista(UI)
Definitely Windows 7.
Windows 7, although it hates my eSata port
Win7. WinXP comes close because of the level of customization, but I'm sure Win7 will catch up to it in that regards, however XP just doesn't offer the features that 7 does.
Unless you like alotta 3rd party progs which can be buggy and hard to maintain.

Still haven't switched to 7 yet (still on XP), because I don't feel like reinstalling everything.
Yep, I'm pretty damn lazy :P
edit: just downloaded and installed windows 7. a bit intimidating tbh. i feel like a noob!
Windows 7
windows 7 (when they fix my Asus MB issues)
Mac OS X Leopard.
As it is Unix based OS, I wouldn't like to talk about arguments now. ;)
Why not? I heard ppl love their Macs. Although I'd suggest Ubuntu. :) U can run it live off a CD or even a USB stick (the latter I didn't try, but U can install from it). Or it runs beautifully in a Vbox (as does Win7).
Here's the story. Years ago I did programming on Unix systems, so I always had a soft spot for it. :) Ever since Linux came on the scene (in early 90s?) from time to time I tried to install and run one or another distribution. They always felt half-baked - you could make it work but a few details got in the way. Not long ago I tried again - this time Ubuntu - and was pleasantly surprised. To make a long story short I'm in the process of switching from XP to Ubuntu now (have a dual boot). It came of age.
Granted, there are more apps (and games? - I'm not into games) for Windows and some of them exclusive but:
1. I have been running Firefox and Thunderbird in WinXP for quite some time, they are native to Linux, too.
2. Some of the apps in Linux (e.g. Krusader) run circles around Win apps.
3. There is Wine - you can run many Win apps under it.
Bottom line: after you tried Ubuntu you might feel that Windows is too restrictive and down your throat. :) Of course, Linux is very different and there is a learning curve... Personally, I think that if an average user could choose a preinstalled OS then more ppl would use Linux.
windows vista and windows XP pro
Im still using XP, my system is a little dated and I do not want to install 7 on it.
FreeBSD

Ubuntu Is The Real Deal!
Ubuntu Linux have delivered the latest version of the open source operating system that scores higher than Windows Vista in performance testing, does a better job than Windows in making wireless connectivity.
Win7, although really it's just a more fisher price version of XP. Still happy I got off that crappy POS O/S they call Vista though.
Windows XP :P
it used to be windows xp but now that i have tried windows 7 i'd have to say windows 7 is better
still windows 7. no linux or mac crap.
WinXP ftw =)
Ya I have to admit its pretty interesting , faster and I'm still playing with the 64 bit version but all and all impressed with the eye candy out of the box .
Hardware drivers were a breeze , FireFox 64 needs work but FireFox 32 bit still installs and works fine . I believe its because Flash player is not compatible with 64 bit .
Stay away from Sheriko its crap , christ I used Opera all weekend I was so pissed . :dabs:
Windows 7 i guess :)
Like Picasso I'm using OSX Snow Leopard here in the desert
