gabest is my default media player, including mp3's
I just use WMP becasue it does the job and I dont listen to much of my colleciton on the puter anyway its enough for me to preview it
I use QCD Player,it is cool.

Win Amp 3 is said to take more processing power and memory than Win Amp 2.
3 has got some other skins, I like the default one, and a couple of other functions you don't get with 2, but basically it's a matter of preference (or getting Win Amp 5, which has the good parts of both 2 and 3).
MMJB isn't bad, mine (which I got a long time ago) came with the options to convert wav to mp3 and the other way around, it made for easy cd rips(it was the first such proggie I tried).
There used to be another player I liked called sonique, but I haven't tested the later versions so I don't know how good it is today.

i've gone back to winamp 2 .. loads much faster
why do ppl think its the best winamp?? what so good about it
Media Center 9 from J River. MC9
yesterday iTunes (MAC) came out for PC and i downloaded it and it is f*cking awsome...a nice program (yes even though im not the biggest mac fan) they still make some awsome programs...so if your sick of winamp or whatever you use goto www.apple.com and get iTunes for PC...
I guess people like Winamp cuz it was the first well known, well supported, non-Microsoft media player.
Remember when WMP wouldn't play mp3's without gettting a third-party codec?
I have both Winamp2 & Winamp3. I only have Winamp2 around for the "Generate HTML Playlist" feature, when I want to
easily publish a playlist to put online. Like others, I listen to my music elsewhere, mostly, & if I'm listening to it in my machine,
it's usually with headphones....so I don't really care about teriffic sound quality. I just stick with Winamp cuz I know it, and have
seen no persuasive reason to change.
If you like iTunes, then you will love Media Center. Here is a screen shot:Quote:

*not sure what I did with the first shot to make it so blurry but you get the idea*
I was using Jet Audio for the longest cause I preferred the sound quality compared to Winamp 2.xx or 3...until yesterday i found out about the dfx plugin for Winamp so now Im back to using Winamp 3, it REALLY improves the sound! I tried the Izotope Ozone audio enhancer but I prefer the DFX better...
I'm gonna go check out this DFX thing...
WMP :)
yep WMP all you need makes the same friggin soun dwho gives a f*ck puter suck for playing msuic anyway
Winamp 2 (with the skin that was modeled after the radio from the movie Frequency.)
QCD ---> http://www.quinnware.com/img/dn/download.gif
Just try it, when you listen to internet radio with QCD it sounds 10 times better then Winamp. Winamp has more plug-ins, but i still prefer QCD.
BTW: I bet 5 out every 10 persons that say "winamp" has not even tried another player <_<
:P Yes we have. :PQuote:

I am on hold with my Database.....WinAMP 5 does not work properly and no other Player is either except WinAMP 3.And it has too many BUGs...takes to long to load.

some do but soem don't I guess
What problems have you had with Winamp5 FC? I know its a beta, but it seems to run okay on my machine. I really don't like it as much as WMP for XP, but it still does the job. ;)
Jet audio man!
very fast and easy to use.

QCD - IMO it's the best music player you can get. Coupled with JetAudio for videos, you can't get much better :D
I tried Winamp, but quite frankly I prefer QCD as I know due to the quality of the playback and nearly every plug-in is coded relatively great (Some I've seen for Winamp3 have been buggy to say the least ). That, and affiliation with AOL put me right off for a long time
QCD Player,for me. :D
I use JetAudio 5.17 Retail and MMJB 8.1
after the comments by celerystalksme and some others, I decided to download & try iTunes.
It looks pretty good so far, but I don't really know how to use it yet.
