First game you ever pirated?

Don't think this has been done before.
What was the first game you ever pirated?


For me I think it was Warcraft II.
A friend bought that game but didn't have a computer (:frusty:) so he basically left it at my house for a few weeks as I played it. Eventually he wanted it back so I offered another friend $5 to ask his dad to make a copy of it because I knew he dad had a cd burner. Well I picked it up the next day and the dad let me keep my $5. He also included a crack/no-cd patch and readme on the CD which was the first time I ever heard of those things.:P

I also got a copy of one of the earlier Need for Speed games from that friend but I can't remember if that was before or after getting Warcraft II.

I had the full game locked on a Doom CD. I found a way to unlock it. Sadly, I didn't bother to back it up and now can't unlock it anymore. lol

You just reminded me... Maybe doom was my first pirated game.
I remember installing it from a friend's disc and it worked without the cd. That doesn't really count as pirating though does it? :lol:

do pirating zx spectrum tapes counts as piracy? or only in the PC era ?

Any games that you're pirated.
So if a zx spectrum tape is something that can hold a game then yes. :P

Deus Ex: Island of Liberty. I played it at a friends house and loved, He gave me a copy, Copy got scratched so I BOUGHT a legit copy.

I treasure this game with all my heart :)

at that time i didnt even knew what was a crack, i got the original game but couldn't play it once CD was ejected, some block did a magic which made the game to run without the disc, it turn out to be a crack.
6 years later here i am with 1Tb of game on my PC.
Btw anybody played FEAR reborn, so short, finished it under 1 hour, those who paid for it got screwed big time, thank god for torrent :lol:

When you pirate so many games it's hard to remember XD

I would probably have to say sims 2. Thats the first game I pirated, I had played shooters beforehand but never really pirated them because I wanted to be able to enjoy the multiplayer.

I believe it was starcraft.. but after that I didn't pirate a game till Titan Quest came out. I wasn't really a big pc gamer and I still bought games till recently (well I still DO buy some games). Titan Quest didn't even work cause my video card was an integrated piece of crap :P

Aww....I can remember it like it was yesterday......the first game I ever pirated was the Sims 2 University Expansion Pack.

How about "jump jet" for c-64 ran on a 512k floppy had to hex edit it to run right dam I'm old :)

It might have been Paperboy now I think about it. Or Ghosts and Goblins. :D

I never really quite understood the point of counterfeiting a counterstrike game. It's purely multiplayer and hamachi is probably full of cheaters/unreliable servers, why try?
