well that's one movie that "has" to be seen in the theatres
hey thanks. looks good
Looks like world of Warcraft meets Transformers. I wont knock it until I see it. I hope that is in a Imax theater near me.
this is going to be <BIG.....James Cameron movies always rock
It probably will be BIG but will it be GOOD?
It will be a great movie. I can't wait for it... Hope it will be same as 2012 and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
This movie has bombshell written all over it CG and the new 3D tech that Camerons boasting to have on this movie will take center stage.... The story will probably be something seen before in other movies. I have no expectations for this movie what so ever sorry.....
i`m waiting for this one :D will watch it in a 3D theater , it`s a must see movie
This movie is very very good evrybody needs to see it, is very cool :)
I saw it yesterday at an IMAX 3-D theater.
It's an astounding visual experience that more than compensated for the retarded plot and dialogue.
Seriously, if you can't see it in 3-D IMAX, don't bother...the visuals are the only thing Avatar has going for it.
If you can get to an IMAX...well, you're in for a hell of a ride.
There are several big setpiece scenes that will literally take your breath away (and maybe make you nauseous)...the technology really is as good as Cameron has been claiming.
By way of comparison...2012 is equally as stupid plot-wise as Avatar but no where near as visually arresting.
I left 2012 feeling cheated and Avatar exhilarated.
It's too bad that Cameron allowed the tech to overwhelm the story but in this first effort, I'll overlook it.
Highly recommended, with reservations.
it's a 10 year/200 million dollar cartoon, which for that kind of money I want a cheeseburger and a magical unicorn with my viewing.
looks so hawt
I saw avatar in 3D yesterday too. i thought that it was going to be all action like transformers. The movie had a pretty good story line I was suprised and for the 300 + million dollar budget, the most expensive film produced to this day, it had know room to flop. I would give it an 8/10.
It was not what I expected. I thought it would have no plot, all action. James Cameron is a genius.
Was this movie sponsored by World of warcraft or something?
Ah fuck do you have to wear the 3d glasses and listen to pukes that sat thru two viewings ? Eat 4 dollar popcorn and hold my beer pee for three hours ... give me a dvdr 5 torrent please lord .:D
good movie, I pay 2 dollar in my cinema
$2?
Your cinema located in 1964?
here in vancouver its 20$ and I need that money to eat :(
It's Columbia...the coke is free.
it's got story, never mind the ppl who think different. i liked it. the 2.5 hours went by super fast. some ppl relate to this film by saying it reminded them of dances with wolves. i haven't seen that film in a long while, so i'll say it reminded me of tom cruises movie the last samurai in a way. lots of pretty shit to look at. last 20 mins is blown out combat and the previous 2 hours is all about learning the new world and exploration. seems they will continue with a sequel. will watch it again. 9/10
Well, me and my brother went to see it today at one of our local cinemas (Cinepolis Rio), which is playing the movie in RealD,
we had never seen one of these movies with this new 3D system; we both thought it was Awesome! great experience well wort it.
Nah the 3D glasses are not that bad, at least it's not the ones with blue & red, that becomes annoying after a few minutes.Quote:

.
3D Avatar is amazing.
I will see it once more.
I might go see it again today, but not in 3D this time.
i had some friends go see it but said it was really cliche'd. worth seeing?
I was in the cinema for this film, great effects, nice story
very beautiful I watch it on 3D :D
i recomanded is great movie
a great movie.!
I don't know about a great movie in terms of plot. If Jurassic Park, Pocahantas, and Star Trek had a baby, there you go. But I saw it in Imax 3D and every frame was a piece of art. To call it visually stunning would be a massive understatement. Very much worth seeing.
20th Century Fox has posted a PDF online of the full screenplay for awards reasons so you can judge if the story in and of itself is any good.
That can't be the real screenplay, it's too big to fit on a bevnap.
