Its fate seems very vague. I won't put my money on a survival. Hope I'm wrong - I love that stuff.
i heard they are re-writing some bits,then they will be good to go..i hope in a month or so:)

as another user said, the last update they had said that they are rewriting some code and will be up soon..

Nice reasoning you have over there... a tracker shouldn't die just because you like TorrentLeech more, or they'll open signups if it does. TL is a great underrated tracker, but no one can compete with Demonoid when it comes to content. (And yes, I already know their speeds aren't good most of the time)

On topic: It would be a shame if demonoid died, i never used the tracker much but it has great hard to find stuff indeed. I hope they come back soon.

Old movies and music albums, apps as well, you could even find DOS 1.0 and v0.99 of the Linux kernel there.
Was the first (semi)private tracker I joined. Only ever used dump sites like TorrentSpy, Minonove or TPB before there... and was sick of downloading all sorts of shit from them... :lol:
I rarely ever use it anymore really, however, as many previous posters have said, the content on there was second to none... there hasn't ever been anything I've looked for that I couldn't eventually find on Demonoid.
Even if others have better 'favourites' and like other sites more than Demonoid, it still goes down as a leader in it's field and a name synonymous with torrenting.
Hope to see it back again soon :)
As anon-sbi stated, Demonoid has old treasures that just don't seem to be anywhere else. For example, I was able to find a very old German movie called "Der Profi". Just little things like this in a large amount I guess. :)Quote:
