Me and a buddy have set up a filesharing site with direct DLs

Basically it's invite only, everything gets up to mega upload using .rar archives (pass worded of course) and discretely uploaded to MU. it's forum based and any links allowed. the link is in my signature if anyone is interested in checking it out or would like to contribute please let me know and either post or PM me you're e-mail and I'll be sure to send you an invite. We're looking to expand the user base and find more contributors so any and all are welcome. Also I'm looking for feedback any critique/criticisms is welcome. if anyone is interested in an invite just to check it out and give some feedback that is more than fine. it has potential and we'd like to see it pick up! please reply.

Is it general content? Any type of files can be uploaded? I already have a bunch of stuff upped to MU, so this may be a good site for me. I like that it's private(guess you're trying eti/LL's way?), so links should last...hopefully.

You got any stats? Amount of members, amount of links?

lol are you being serious coz I honestly thought this was a joke,but why MU though?MU is just like RS only that RS is more popular.Plus I figure RS pawns them in terms of rewards.

People upload to RS because... people upload to RS. And so they gain Premium points which one day they'll be able to trade for an account and be able to leech others' files without wait times, speed limits or "no" free slots. Perhaps he's trying to break that trend.

No offence but that multiupload site sounds like enslavement.
You do the hardwork of getting the files,you upload these files to their servers,their servers upload them to their own RS,MU,HF etc accounts.They give you their links to distribute,they earn a shitload of points which equates to alot of money and what do you get?that's not even 1%.

None taken. I can count the number of times I have uploaded something to a one-click hoster with my fingers, so I didn't even know file spreading sites could do such foul play.

Although I guess that's better that your links ending up reported and deleted thanks to another uploader that didn't want "competition".

Not all of them just the ones that tell you they'll upload your files to other file hosts.

well since we're using our own premium MU it works fine if other people want to use other means of dedicated hosting i presume that's fine i just think MU seems to be the easiest.

See I know nothing about this. RS-MU links can or cannot be traced by anti p2p? Anyone can join after you PM them and give them membership privileges or whatever, so my question is how is that discrete?

When downloading from Rapidshare or Megaupload, often there's only one connection - from you to the hoster. In P2P you could reach anyone and anyone can reach you, which is how they can catch you downloading or uploading.

Of course, the hoster could still give your IP to an anti-piracy company, but I think they're safer than P2P.

It is. I think MU is the best file hoster out there. Especially since you really don't need a premium account to use it(unless you download heavily). I think you made a good choice.

I know I've used Netload, but I don't remember the download speeds for a free user. Mediafire is also ok. But...it's not very fast for a free user. At least my download speeds through Mediafire weren't very fast.

Thing about MU is that they let you download quite a bit daily on a free account. Plus the download speeds always max out my home connection on a free account. It's just an all around great hoster in my opinion.

That's strange, since with 2-3 MF downloads I can max out my connection (380kB/s).

Really? That is strange. I have about a 340kb/s max download speed. And Mediafire comes nowhere near close to maxing it. I usually get an average of about 50kb/s down from them, as a free user.

I like Megaupload :D

Netload speed is crap for free user and comes with nice waiting time. For me free mediafire maxes out my connection, just like megaupload, but max mediafire file size is only 200mb vs. 1gb for mu. However, mediafire allows unlimitied simultaneous downloads. I would say mediafire is preferable for music, while megaupload is better for larger files such as games or movies.

megaupload + jdownloader = heaven

i know using free accounts MU maxes my dl out
3mb/s so i mean i would just think that mu would be good for most free users.

bump for more registered members. I'm collecting more music to up as well, currently i'm in the collecting phase to provide decent content since this is the beginning i'm trying to mix up what i get to upload so there's a variety of different links. If it becomes to cluttered which im pretty sdure it will i'll make seperate boards for each type of link.

ok i changed the boards up a bit now there are seperate boards for individual types of links including child boards of certain types, games >>> 360, PC, other, etc.

Since I am going to buy lifetime megaupload platinum I like megaupload best :D

Included that they have a pretty good site for free users to.

Personally am for rapidshare but I think I understand why a free user would prefer other file hosters in its place.Here's another cool site that I think would come in handy for y'all especially the free downloaders.

Just login(on the left) with username:public
password:public

Once in,check on the bottom left and you'll see a bunch of links arranged horizontally.Click on the 'download' link(its the first link).You'll be redirected to textbox where you can paste as many links as you want and as from as many filehosts as possible.Click on download and they'll automatically generate you direct dl links for the files(they call em premium links ;) ).Copy paste em to IDM and let the rest happen.
