piratebay and mininova replacements ?
hi all are there any good sites for movies and software like these ?

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
Ummm, maybe a move into private trackers? Some trackers specialize in movies and some in apps. Plus, a tad bit more secure than public trackers.

Is public but indexes a decent amount of files or it used to. Also zamunda(may be invite only), others depending on what you are looking for.

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
If you're looking to try out private BT sites but are unable to get an invite, you could look at torrentbytes and bitsoup. They are both frequently open for signups and are great 0day trackers.

iLT was open last I looked too :whistling
1337x looks promising, like other have mentioned Public P2P is going downhill, sites are getting sued/closing down etc.
Private trackers are also starting to shutdown rapidly.

ILT was my first tracker, and a great one. It's good for people that are just starting with private trackers, like it was my case when I registered. Lots of content, good speeds, and easy to seed on. I really felt the loss when my account was pruned due to inactivity this year.
They're also BitSoup's sister site.

http://www.gamato.info/account.php
http://www.ilovetorrents.com/signup.php
http://www.lasttorrents.org/signup.php
http://www.torrentbits.ro/signup.php

Those sites are almost always open for registration, and they're great for private tracker beginners.

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
I have always thought of BitSoup as a "mini TL". You'll like it.

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
i've used btjunkie a fair bit lately. seems to be one of the better public sites

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
VerTor is great for those that don't have the time to determine which torrents are not fakes. I've been using it mostly for old movies - you get screenshots and can check the language and audio quality before downloading.

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
http://1337x.org/old/ is good no ratio and you can Leech without signing up

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
I would have to say Iptorrents has a lot of content, try getting a invite and would be a bit more secure than public trackers as well. :)

There's a lot of spam like trainers, dox or short XXX clips that inflate its torrent count, though.

Re: piratebay and mininova replacements ?
I never felt safe on sites like mininova or piratebay. They are public trackers so you are alot more prone to getting virus's or bad files, so myself I stick with private trackers they just make me feel more conmfortable.

3/4 of the content at IPT is great, just don't browse the DOX/XXX categories.
