Who Is Better Maradona or Pele?

Some people believe Maradona to be the best

and some says that Pele is the best.

I'll tell you what, I'm feeling benevolent this evening.

I'll add a poll to this thread, to try and rescue it from being the pit of total fail that it currently is.

For the record, my vote goes for Maradona, even though he's such a cunt, I think at his best he was better than Pele ever was.

Maradona aint shit without coke in his nose (jk), so i gotta vote Pele
the original one !!! and Brazilians have always played better than Argentinians.

Also we gotta have to understand that there is approx. 20 years difference
between those two, so just think about how harder was the soccer game
before... ;) balls where much more heavy, etc...
And for Pele we miss a lot of videos... he did beated england on his own too btw...

they are very different than each other in playing style, pele was a sharp shooter nothing else where maradona was fast and tactical player, if compared them from footage's you can see maradona was a unique player just like where messi stands these days, if cocaine wasnt associated with maradona's history then debate of "who's best" didnt even exist, this lame excuse is repeated by pele's fan over and over.

Brazil is the best? what the heck?
what they do is only defense and counter attack if facing a difficult team, i never enjoyed their game, on other hand you'll enjoy all day while watching tango players show their dances no matter of who they are playing againt, exactly like blaugrana.
i agree their not upto their standards these days but a year or two ago you would have thought about "Brazil is the best".

btw you can count British people as pele supporter, you know "hand of god" and stuff :naughty:

Maradona was better, dont get me wrong pele was great to, but he never proved himself in european football like maradona did.

they simply aren't comparable - they didn't officiate at the same time and football was totally different at Pele's time.

I suggest co-equal status, principally considering they never trod the pitch at the same time, and so cannot ever (ever) be compared adequately.

I've seen Diego live playing for Naples he was definitely the most influential player I've seen. Haven't seen Pele in full match so I can't really compare them. From the players I've seen Diego was the best

Well taking the topic title literally... :lol:

Pele is going to be 70 this year and advertises viagra on television, whereas Maradonna is 'only' going to be 50... however... Maradonna is rarely without a line of cocaine up one of his nostrils... so I'm gonna say that going on this logic, and the fact he'd have more energy then Maradonna IS the best.

As has been previously mentioned in this thread however, if you read any of the stats Pele WAS the best and from what I've seen of them both, will always have been better in my book :lol:

I think that better is... Pele. Why ? Well... he's life is better than Maradona life. That is my opinion :)
