Is there a program that will allow me to run DVD disks without even having a DVD drive on my PC?
Also, I am wondering if I can burn them too with a program.

Mainly, what I am asking is if I can watch a DVD on my computer (not from online) and watch it on my PC with out even having a DVD rom drive. And what do you mean a DVD file?
dvd file=mpeg and you need a dvd player for it to read the dvd diskQuote:

So, if I get a program that will play DVD movies, even without a DVD rom drive, I will be able to?
Also, what is a good program to make a MPEG from a DVD disk?
no you need a dvd rom(dvd drive) to read a dvd disk without it you can't play dvds, the dvd player will only play a dvd that your dvd drive readsQuote:

Also, is there a program to totaly delete everything on a CD?
Some of the CD's I burned I cannot delete, I need to delete because my mom hid the CD RWs and she lost them so, if I want to burn, I have to delete. Some of the programs I have will not delete it at all.
dare I ask..
are they cdr's or cd-rw's that your having trouble deleting the contents of?
is this a cd-r or cd-rw that you are trying to delete??Quote:

you can use nero or roxio just format them because after erase you are going to have to format them anyways what is your version of roxio??
I'v only had to do it a few times as I don't buy cdrw's, but I used inacd (belive thats the name)- it comes with nero.
http://www.nero.com
Roxio 6 basic (came standard with my pc)Quote:

if its a cd/rw in your drive then just right click on the drive and "Erase CD/RW" :D
There is no choice to delete for some reason
i think what it actually say's is "erase the contents of this cd/rw" with a right clickQuote:

now if you have roxio 6 one of the tolls you have is called a drag to disk open that and use that its easy as hell

i can remember when my mom bought a cd drive 4 our puter - it was a 1x (at the time wasn't called that, but that was the speed) and only cost her $650 bucks. musta been on sale.
You know you dont HAVE to have a dvd-rw to burn dvd's unless you wanna burn them on a DVD disc...a simple dvd drive and a regular cd-rw will allow u to make copies of the dvd provided you use the correct program(s). I dont have a dvd-rw only a dvd/cd-rw combo and im able to make copies of dvd using acp then making kvcd's...there are many many progs out there that allow you to make avis of your dvd's without a burner so that you can copy them to cd-r discs...
