these are some possiblities:
- improper installation
- corrupted install file
- Sun Java
- MS VM - unlikely tho
- Virus
- The Opera Performer wasn't paid enough :lol:

17,000k here yours is a bit much. It gets that high when it first starts and that it. ;)

49,032 Now.....I'm Going To Install 7.21 Though Hope That Fixes It.....

Just Installed 7.21.....It Has Dropped To 30,000.....Still Alot Though IE Still Only Uses Around 15,000 :blink:

just a tip to everyone who uses OPEN SOURCE programs. Always use the original creator's downloads, unless ur sure they are simply a mirror to the orignal or is the same. Like Agent's above. The problem with that is people, like myself, recreate such OPEN SOURCE program to the way I want to and may not suit ur need. And/or could be buggy. :)

I don't remember 7.11 using that much at all. That was more like 17,000. Why is it so high now? And I am not a noob, I know what I'm doing.

21,000k like normal here. Do you folks have multiple installations of Opera installed over each? Or side by side? I just uninstalled 7.20 & clean installed 7.21 to get my result.

with no page i'm on 3900k but then with each page it goes up ofcourse i got about 22 pages open at 36000k
