I would like lots or responses and reasoning. If this has been adressed already and I missed it... forgive me. I am a noob to Software World.

Nero ;)
Nero, most definatly.
In my opinion, ECC sucks
Actually musicmaster, this gets asked about every 7-10 days...
Whichever program puts a functional CD in your grubby little hand is the best.
I use Roxio.
for burning Audio, mp3s, or DVDs, Easy CD Creator is the best, IMO. It's easy to use & it looks good. Simple
for anything else: bins, isos, etc., Alcohol 120% is my favorite. It's never given me a coaster, handles multiple file
formats, has virtual drive support (image mounting), and it looks nice also.
The search button works! ;)
NTI CD Maker is good. It's easy to use and it supports a lot of file types. Out of every CD burner program, I'd have to say Nero. Don't use it to convert AVI files to MPEG files though

What Is The Best Burning Software?
Got to be "Roxio 6"
Search?? What's that? Never used it!! Is there a search? Oh.. by George.. there is a search!! Did someone say use search?? Nah... they would have never said use search, because if there was a search, I would have used it!!!! NOT!!!!
Ok, I got that off my chest. I simply chose not to use search because every single day there is new software designed, and new uprgrades for every type of software, hence a search renders a question like that useless... to me.
On with the second part of my question:
I dl Norton Systemworks from Klite and it is an iso, and I tried to open and burn with Nero, but failed to get it to recognize it. Is there some reason this might have happened? Might I need another program to do this with
One last question... Does anyone here have Easy CD Creator 6 that uses Soulseek? I had version 4 but WinXP wont work with it.
Thanks
get it from eMule...

got all cdr and dvdr software in my sig, ready for download, I like nero
Nero express and nero 6 suck asses.
Get Nero 5 because its very nice and easy to use.
(very nice, did i actually say that ? lol)
i also would say the same thing but since he has then there you go http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/cleverman.gifQuote:

Alcohol 120% is the best for buring copy protected CDs. it can copy all protections. and it gives the option to chose the type of protection before you burn
Roxio Easy CD is absolutely the easiest. but it has no real advanced features. it has a lot of useful newbie type features, but if you need to do anything complicated, it doesn't hold up.
Nero is my favorite just cause it's a good balance between user-friendliness and some advanced features. personally i think it's the best choice for average users who might end up burning & creating ISO/BIN images.
there are others that are okay, like CRWin, Discjuggler, CloneCD, etc... but personally i think their advantages are very specific, and most people don't have any use for them.
Ummm... Nero is the best.
It's just simple enough to do and just follow the steps. I found other software complicated to beginner users.
Nero is the best for most things, although I use Iomega to burn my MP3's
NERO
ALCOHOL 120% for ISOS!
For Direct 1to1 copy's IMO Clone CD 4.2.02
For General Burning CD-r's Nero 5
For DvD's No idea i dont have a dvd burner

Nero 6 ultra for CDs/DVDs.
:o I honestly don't believe that there are still people who fall for that Easy Coaster Creator crap... *cough*bloatware*cough*
I'm just going to point out one of Easy Coaster Creator's (huge) flaws:
IT DOES NOT SUPPORT BURNING .BIN/.CUE FILES!!!
To the filesharing community, this is enough to say no to a burning program. Unless, of course, you like pretty graphics and a program that treats you like a child. But hey, even Nero has something like that. It's called Nero Express and you can turn it on and off. It even has a wizard inside the main program. Can it get easier than that?
So why the hell do people still go for Easy Coaster Creator? This is a mystery that scientists are still looking to explain.
If you want to copy protected CDs you should go with CloneCD or Alcohol 120%.
For all the rest, Nero is your emperor. :D
Nero 6.0 Ultra is the best burning software I know...
Alcohol 120% for bin's; cue's and image making.
EZCD 'DVD' Creator 6 for encoding movies and burning everything else...nero's encoder plain and simply STINKS!!
With Nero it is always adding and updating plug-ins and 'upgrading' and 'upgrading'.....what version are they up to now x.x.x.xxx??
Sorry, I dont have time for all that, EZCD DVD Creator 6 gives it all to me in one package.
