No that's not a torrent site, but its an Image bookmarking site where you can collect your images from all around the internet, for example when you are surfing web, sometimes you come across with an image/photo you like but don't have time to save it to your pc, ffffound.com let their members bookmark such pictures with a single click to their accounts, there are other feature such as a wallpaper, which displays other user founds as a slideshow. also ffffound.com is taste sensitive means they will set your account according to the pictures you like , i.e. if you like porn , ffffound users who like porn will follow you and so on.. these features makes it words best and most active image bookmarking site.. but the problem is this website is closed for new memebership for ages and is very very rare, and finding an invite is nearly impossible.Quote:

I've been using WeHeartIt for few months, but it's slow as shit and has lame suggestions (because it's based on tags and many photos have no any tags at all). ffff layout and functions must be the best alternative. What the hell is the point of closing and making exclusive a site that heavily depends on the content users bring to it in order to "share" and "give reccomendations"?
Was thinking the same myself... surely if part of the site's appeal is the recommendation it makes for similar images etc then it would be better to have a larger userbase, properly indexed, to provide a wider selection?Quote:

Think of it this way. ffffound is an awesome site anyways, being a member just makes it even better. Adding more features that make the whole experience complete. The screensaver is pretty cool, getting all the images directly from ffffound. And while i agree saving images is easy enough to do for anyone, being able to use ffffound like a portable hdd with a simple click and save interface is pretty handy. Plus along with the saved images it will give me links to related images. Saving images on a computer won't do that. I haven't even begun to understand the image recommendation system, but so far its been spot on.
The reason they make invites exclusive is the same reason trackers do, it's all about quality control. Since only members can post images they dont want a lot of idiots posting shit and screwing it all up. Like what if they gave out invites to the biggest trolls at 4chan. Imagine what that would do.
