So what are the typical mininum system requirements for these new games today???
well depends...most games are like 1.5ghz processor 64 mb video card 256 ram thats like reccommended....required is usually half that
what so that means if i get a new computer it won't last for like 3 months agasint system requirements
depends on what kind of a computer you get...if you get a cheap computer it will be good for gaming for maybe 1 year? and wont run games so good....i suggest either building your own pc or upgrading your pc... :)
i'm getting a customed
AMD athlon XP 2500+ barton at 1.83ghz
1gig o ram
ati radeon 9600pro 128mb
not gonna last long at all?
noo that will last for like 3 more years++
i have a HP Pavilion Customised
2.53 Ghz Pentium 4 Processor
512 Ram
Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 420
80 GB Hard Drive
In a year or two im going to buy another 512 Ram and a 256 MB video card or how much mb they have in 2 years imagine 512 MB video cards!!!
Edit: By the way how much are you getting your pc for?
$1500 with all the other dingy dangs
but the processer speed seems so low to be any fast
Err... rip-off....lol If you have AIM, I can help you find a awesome PC for cheap too....your choise :)
umm my 800mhz 128mb ram still works for most games
but i got a new
p4 2.66ghz
512mb ram
ati all in wonder 9000 pro 64mbz
@Keikan You can build a computer like that, for about £500 UKP, thats probably about $700 USD or something along those lines.
Yea it does...like I said before thats mostly the required amount...the game will be OK not that awesome but if you want seroius gaming you need 2x that.
I can't internet shop :(
and i just don't want the game to lag, i want it to run smooth like not slow motion
You dont need an internet shop, just buy the parts seperatly and put it together your self, find a cheap computer shop.
Always comes out cheaper.
dell....
:o Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?
Dell sucks....Bad pcs....unless you pay a lot...Just make your own pc, I can help you out once again if you want help give me your SN.
all the system requirements are pretty much the same, so you wont have to worry about always upgrading your computer for better game play!
if you want to build your own computer, you should always order from the internet because the parts are way cheaper. the best site to get parts from is www.newegg.com, or www.colorcases.com, and www.colorcase.com
Ummm NO! His pc is like 400 mhz he won't be able to run condition zero....
Dont know where you live, but here its actually cheaper to buy it from a shop, most of them are cheaper, and safer. No chance of credit fraudQuote:

Meh, I'd prefer not to risk it, I wouldnt purchase from online only places, but I would purchase from shops who have a web site also, such as Game ltd etc...Quote:

build it yourself!!!!!
there are sites that can tell you what components that are compatible
brandcomps are also hard to upgrade cause of minimal space
and minimal noise making so everything runs real hot
so if u change something it'll probably burn and fry
had that prob with a dell a while ago
I've always bought Dell and never had a problem. I built two PC's as well and it cost near the same amount as building (top notch system).Quote:

i have an AMD 2200+ at 1.8 and it runs fine
but hes worriest hell have to buy a new pc soon...which he wont for about 1-2 years
Hehe, many games at the moment only just utilise the 128 in video cards, and 32mb cards are still popular, so im pretty sure 512 aint going to be popular for a loooong time ;)Quote:

AMD 2500+ is a good processor. PPl that buy that processor mostly think about overclocking it, because it overclocks well. You should really start shopping off the net. I used to be scared to shop off the net. Just make sure they have a secure site. Newegg is the best place to shop. I just built my first PC 3 weeks ago. ASUS A7N8X Deluxe, AMD 2400+(2.0GHz) overclocked to 2230MHz. Connect 3D ATI Radeon 9800 pro, and some other good shit. I Had bought a HP computer in Jan and the damn thing didn't have any AGP slots, so I decided to build a PC. I did all this just to get a 9800pro. My HP computer had 2.0GHz celeron, 40GB harddrive, 512MB, and a GeForce 4 440mx (shitty card). If anyone thinks of getting a pc from a store make sure its Dell. Dells are better than HP, Emachine, Compact, and what ever else thats out there. If you have the money you could always go for Alienware, but I would build my own PC before I go that direction.
oc a p4 2.4c and get a gforce fx 5200 (minimum) and ur covered for at least another 2-3 years
Yeah i have Hp too. Its Pretty good and It has good deals too. ;)Quote:

FX 5200 is a shit card also. My girlfriends dad has that card and the graphics on games look the same way as my old GF 4 440mx. If u get a 9600pro then you will be set for 2-3 years not a FX 5200. Remember you want to play future games that have DX9.Quote:

The 5200 is the budget card of the FX family, what do you expect from it...? Also, the card will last 2-3 years, perhaps even more. Many recently released games even support 16/32mb video cards, which can be generations old. <_<

Same here.I live in Halifax Nova Scotia (Canada) and we have a pretty good market here. There are so many shops here in Halifax that the prices are insanely low.I can find prices at a local store that I can't find on any of the internet sites.
exactly. besides, get a good fan, oc it, and u got a pretty good card for the $ u paidQuote:

HP sucks!! they expect u to be a noobie at everything, so they make it so "easy to use" and they lock all the advanced features. my friend got a media center, and they locked his bios!!! wtf... assholes. my old comp was an hp. it was ok... somewhat reliable. not much hardware problems, but still, they think ur stupid, so they throw away all the advanced features
