maybe it's and svcd, or actual DVD disk?
not a dvd
its a 700 mb 80 min cd-r
oh, oh that's odd. I think if you decrease the qualiy enough you can fite a little more on one, but otherwise, i dont' know.
It's probably, but not definitely, a KVCD as I put Wrong Turn (DVD Screener Rip converted to KVCD) (roughly 1 hour 30 minutes) onto a single CD for my family to watch on their DVD player's and the quality was damned good, if you search the forum for KVCD then you'll find a link to a program which can help you do this (i'm too tired to find it for you at the moment lol) :-)
Sniper.
its called KVCD
check my sig and see the light on how to compress a movie to fit on one disk
yes, but dopesn't your DVD player hhave to be able to play kvcd? or just nromal VCD. My dvd player can't even play SVCD.
thats why i askedQuote:

i still dont understand how
too confusing
Yep, that's called Kvcd it's not that hard to make once u get used to doing it.
If your DVD player can play VCD's then chances are that it'll be able to play KVCD's, but it's not guarenteed as DVD player's are a bit picky i've found and won't even play some VCD's (something to do with the encoding i'm guessing), so it's a case of testing to see really.
Sniper.
about how long does it take?
cause say for example
could i burn kill bill to vcd? as kvcd using only 1 cd?
It matters on your computer speed and your Ram but yes u could do kill bill and actually there is already one made on speed.
my dvd can play vcd. (that's the only reson i got it lol :D .) but does that mean it can play KVCD. it's the first time i've herd of it.
sorry SniperInTheShadows ansered my qustion, befor i even asked it. my bad!
what DON'T you understand?Quote:

EDIT:
@greekboy
check my sig for a guide and there is a dvd compatibility list also
thanxxx muchspl2 thats cool of u.
well mine doesn't play svcds, and all vcds.
just because it plays vcd doesn't mean you can automatically play KVCD,
just like you say you can't play SVCD, have you tried to re-write the header to non-standard vcd, makes it think its playing a vcd
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/40078
No, better yet just go to Kvcd homepage and check the Compatibility Chart and see if your dvd player is on their and what it plays if not u just have to test on your own.
I left that out cause I figured they would check the guide in my sig
pretty strait forward and if your dvd player isn't listed just get the nrg file and try it out on your dvd player
Yeah, that's another way to see if it will play is to download a sample from the site.
yay! i just figured out my dvd player does TDK cd-rw...
anywayz...
n00bs think KVCD is the best thing ever cuz they see "make 2hrs fit on one cd!!!" and then they get all hyped up...kvcd isnt the better thing ever, the qaulity is a faction better than normal vcd..try the header trick first, if that doesnt work then im not sure wat to do :D
