I'm stuck with dialup, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for the foreseeable future. <_<
I'm very well aquainted with K-Lite, but now I'd like to try some other progs and networks.
I've heard lots of good things about Bit Torrent and Soulseek, but it would seem that they're only for folks with at least an ADSL connection... or am I wrong here?
So what programs are best suited for users with snail-like net connections like mine?
klite or winMX. just stick w/ music and small files tho. you'll find yourself not being able to do much when downloading a few music files. cough up a little more dough and get yahoo dsl or something if you're out in the boonies. otherwise high speed cable is worth the $30-$50/mo.
I myself would shoot myself if i had dial up. i wouldn't even touch it. no patience.
whatever you do, don't get that stupid HIGH SPEED INTERNET FROM NETZERO. Its a bunch of crap.

K-lite (AKA, Kazaa Lite) :P
But seems 56K users only use like programs such as eMule, and eDonkey..etc. As you can never get good speeds from there. :blink:

kazaa lite has more choice.

Regarding those links to the free broadband offers: Theyre for the U.S. and U.K.
I'm in Australia. I don't think they'll string a cable quite that far for free. ;)
Probably Kazaa for dial up
winmx worked for me pretty good back when i had dial up
When I was using a 56k connection, Kazaa lite and Winmx were the best programs for me.
