SuSe for fitness :P
I downloaded suse from the linux website and its stuck at 1 sec left?
SuSe 8 or 9?
SUSE 8.2 and its stuck at 1 sec left.
How do I burn SUSE 8.1 on a cd,so I can run it from cd?
If you mean run it from a cd like knoppix. Then you cant. And actually suse does not allow you to download iso images from their servers or the mirrors so you can burn to cd and boot install like red hat or mandrake.Quote:

You have to either already have a boxed set or do a network install from the suse site or mirror.
But if you get it off bittorent then you can get iso images and burn to cd, just not from suse site. :)
Is SUSE the only operating system on suprnova that you can run off of the cd without needing to install it?

Suse cant do that, you have to install it.
The only ones you can run without installing to date are Knoppix and Damn Small Linux which is based on knoppix.

You cant really compare the two. If you can use them both perfectly then i would say linux.
ATM im only going to use windows untill i can get a spare pc so i can learn to use linux.
They are both good OSes.
ooo i know ... both
I like XP now that I have upgraded I don't know what linux looks like but I doubt it's better than XP.
I have 2 Computer 1 of them has Linux and the other Win-XP, I Have So May Damn Errors and Crashes With Windows products and have not had One Linux OS... I DONT LIKE MICROSOFT! :nuke:
Maybe because u spend so much time on the Linux one instead of seeing what the problem is with XP.
You need to get 9.0 I got it, and dam it is nice. I am going to try and start using it soon. B)Quote:

Windows XP is a great Operating system, its good for beginners and first time users, because it is user friendly, but it has a lot of bugs and needs constant updating from the microsoft website
Linux on the other hand, its for more advanced users, and it is more stable than windows XP. Linux can run for months, even years without needing to be rebooted, and it is a lot more secured than XP.
It all depends on what you are looking for and what your needs are.
i got both installed at the same time on my pc.
