The world's first iPad lookalike runs on Google's Android operating system, is apparently powered by an Intel chip and sells for the equivalent of $126. The basic model iPad sells in the US for $US499 ($595).

I don't understand why this is news? Tablets have been out for a while now, just because the iPed looks like an iPad doesn't mean it's any better.

There's heaps of Tablets out, mostly running Android that are dirt cheap - couple of hundred AUD.

My friend bought a Chinese iPhone clone and regrets it. It's buggy as hell! Besides, iPed sounds too much like iPez dispenser.

I've bought plenty of clones in the past and it never works as well as the real deal. I'll need to see a review on the iped before I would ever consider buying one. The price sounds very intriguing.

This has the android OS? Im a bit curious now. If 3g or wifi is on this then id almost consider

I have a Chinese hiPhone and it works just fine. It has Java, Wi-Fi (the reach isn't that great, though), Bluetooth, a camera, dual SIM, everything you can imagine. Costed only around 170 euro.
