In the same vein, fireworks are used in Belfast to celebrate Halloween.
Already, four children have been mutilated this Halloween as a result of modified fireworks. These were sectarian attacks. Sick indeed.

I mentioned "effected" not "affected".
you can still be affected in the same way as being effected. i didn't assume anything, i read your post. i was simply giving another example.
I really expect this to be on the debate whether or not to remove fireworks from northern ireland (they where not allowed for years for amongst others two reasons, the noise is similar to gun fire and can be used as an obvious diverision, it also isn't to hard to make a bomb from them)
The term trick or treat was also mention by gunman just before the opened fire in bar in the more than memorable past and similarity hear could be extremely offence to others

@ chalice.........I would not dare suggest that I have the remotest idea what it must be like living under the ever-present darkness of potentially deadly conflict, so, as I listen to the constant bombardment of Roman Candles and the sounds of fire & police vehicles being dispatched to tend to minor injuries, I'll say that I'm thankful that I don't associate these sounds ( as loud and worrisome as they may be ) with any kind of bona fide danger. My empathy in regards to your situation however, is quite real.
Ach, its alright really. The kids are sleeping safely un-devoured.
