Where do you get your music from?

My hard drive crashed, and my external drive was corrupted, so I now have to take on the task of rebuilding my music library. I used to have an it-leaked account, but it got deleted. =/


So I'm curious, what sites/blogs do you guys use for music?

I'd use Soulseek if you have a normal internet connection, and whatcd if you already have a buffer or if you have godly upload speeds.

Me? What.cd and Waffles. However, you're probably better of with Warez-BB, Soulseek (as TrueSounds mentioned) or Ares.

Find pre / release name of a album etc and xDcc it on one of the search engines, secure and 9/10 FAST

I use What.cd, Waffles and SceneSound..
If I don't find what I want in these sites (rarely), I search in some DDL forums

i used SceneSound for a while then a friend of mine got an invitation to What.Cd and i saw ScS dieing and that was horrible ..
i am a bit lucky that i found another home for music that i can relay on ..

I use waffles most of the time and btmusic when i need flac quality

direct downloads and from demonoid

it is slow most of the time

vipmusic and satclubbing

i use thepiratebay. grab top 100 music torrent. their quality is good for me at least

I get it from what.cd and Coda.fm

I recommend you use last.fm free downloads section for songs by not-so-famous but still talented bands...

I also use limewire/ares for soemthing specific...

I use number of blogs scattered across the net to keep upto date with music news...

TT, SL, XTC, CoE, and Vip.

Pandora, Songza, and Spotify (free).

I have been using soulseek for 7 years now and still continue to use it, the only time I don't use it is to find new release stuff on torrent sites

I sometimes buy CD's, most often from amazon, but I also download a lot of my music..
