Thanks IdolEyes, glad you could point out my grammar, lucky the internet police didn't get me. Hope that makes you feel better pointing it out, great for you buddy :frusty:
If the above quote is any indication at least it seems to have done some good.:idunno:
Btw sorry if I'm intolerant of the fact that a whole lot of people of supposedly otherwise normal intelligence either by abject laziness or inherent lemming-like qualities purposely chose to denigrate the English language and in the process represent themselves as being mildly retarded.
And no it didn't make me "feel better" any more than writing this (wishfully) unneeded tripe did.
Question.Your teacher (which I'm not professing to be ) doesn't "feel better" in correcting you does he/she ? It is done out of obligation/respect to the language ( and ironically) ....you so that hopefully in the future people don't do as I did here and also mistake you for being mildly retarded and maybe also that we don't all revert back into walking on all fours anytime sooner than absolutely necessary.
It is nice that you still consider us buddies though.:)
I was annoyed until I read the last bit which made me laugh :D
I'm not at school as well so I don't have a teacher but if a teacher doesn't feel good about doing there job, which is teaching, then there in the wrong profession.
Thank you for showing me that whatever my faults may be I still have a considerable way to fall before I truly hit rock bottom.

:unsure:I was thinking more along the lines of Webster's or the New Oxford but then again....
Anyone have Peter Little's adress I have a dictionary that I'd like to "give" him. http://filesharingtalk.vb3/images/smilies/mellow.gifQuote:
‘Lol’ amongst new words accepted into Oxford Dictionary
The Oxford Dictionary’s annual induction of new words to the dictionary has yet again sparked controversy amongst the literary community. A number of highly contentious words have been accepted into the english lexicon much to the disgust of leading Etymologists. ‘Lol’ which is an acronym for ‘laugh out loud’ has been included alongside lmao (laugh my ass off), tgnocmrott (thank god no one caught me running over that teenager) and ihhdgmavd (I hope he didn’t give me a venereal disease).:pinch:
Peter Little, the man charged with deciding which new words make the cut, claimed the additions marked a turning point in the dictionary’s much storied history. ‘We feel these new words aptly show where the English speaking community is headed. People rarely have the attention span to finish their sentences hence the increased usage of acronyms. We know the Oxford Dictionary must reflect and adapt with the times we…’
Mr. Little said he was not surprised by the level of protests upon revealing the new words. ‘Of course many people are aware of the 1947* incident but we do not fear a repeat occurrence’.
*In 1947 Godfrey Piffel-Jones, a man who held the same position as Little was mercilessly killed by those who opposed the introduction of ‘hi’ into the dictionary. He was beaten to death with the aid of several dictionaries. An amusingly ironic and sad death.
So until then I guess all I really have to add is iartpfwtsiowim while cotflgohaha:unsure:
