does naybody know free newsserver i can connecto to to be able to use newsbinpro as aol doesnt give one out, and news.aol.com or othrs ive tried do not work, thanks chris

hate top sound like a newbie cus i know how annoying they are, but newsgroups r totally new to me, ive put that in, selected some groups, downloaded headers of them, and i know what i should be seeing in subject, but nothing comes up in subject no files or nothing, any ideas, ?

you don't have a filter on do you?
or possibly the group isn't supported on your server...

ok u can see groups, that's good news :lol:

what u wanna do is do one group at a time, pick one that u like the most

if the group is named alt.binaries.whatever, it means this group is sharing files, that's why it's called binaries

what you should configure ur news reader to do is to thread multipart messages so the messages with the same subject will be grouped together so it's easier for download

"matrix revolutions [1/45] matrix revolutions.part001.rar [23/30]"

if you see something like this in a newsgroup it means you are downloading the first part of 45 files of "matrix revolutions" and this message is the 23rd of 30 messages comprising "matrix revolutions.part001.rar", you have to get all 30 messages to get "matrix revolutions.part001.rar" and have to get all 45 parts to get the complete movie

remember this is newsgroup not ur regular p2p. so the files are encoded in the messges, select the messages and decode them, after decoding you'll get the files

if some messages are missing, dont worry, look for par files or par2 files and sfv files because they help you repair incomplete rar files. get smartpar or quickpar to do that for u

all i can seem to get is pictures, this is very good for porn, in fact excellent for porn, lol but with games/movies just finding incomplete files plus not what i want, but i guess theres so much to search

i told u newsgroups aren't for noobs

like those lamers on kazaa :P
