I was just banned from hdbits.org. I was in the irc channel and suddenly, when I was in a philosophical mood and asking questions about what true knowledge is, I was glined from the p2p-network with the message "Bye, retard" and was banned from the site. Someone told me it's only a 1-week ban, but there is a possibility they will permanently ban me in the future. The person who told me it's a 1-week ban also told me that the staffers don't like me.
may be due to your explicit posting in fst & your petition for returning sdbits?? :idunno:

I would like to correct some fallacies in the OP.
The actual ban reason was "die, you retard".

I glad to see that OlegL was accurate in his assessment that everyone there is now "nice" and views him differently.
BtwI hear that some sites are weird and judge people on how well they use the tracker and not on any personal issues.
Seriously if I ran a tracker and only let in people I thought "weren't retarded" I would have no trouble keeping track if any of the six of them were cheating or not.

Well, I'm not sure what kind of questions they were but it does seem like a petty move on their part.
I already sort of said this and seeing some of the other thing Olegl apparently said on that site he can get "out of line" but whether someone is banned shouldn't really have anything to do with conflict of personality.
Unless it's extreme to the point that it's effecting people's enjoyment of a site in general of course and then only as a last resort.
I mean I've read many a rule and I have yet to see any against simply being a twit.

I idle in their IRC channel, and I'm not really sure why you enjoy it so much. From what I've seen, the members either openly mock whatever you say or passively-aggressively play along "for the lulz". And it's quite clear that the staff are fed up with the sort of stuff you say, which I'm honestly convinced now is just epic trolling. At first I thought perhaps you were just a naive child, but you claimed in another thread to be in your mid twenties. By this point in your life, you should really be able to read these social situations better, and have a much better grasp on when you're annoying or angering other people with what you say. You've angered their staff on countless occasions and continue to openly try to incite public unrest against them by posting your squabbles on FST.
Personally I've never once banned anyone for acting like a moron, but eventually everyone reaches their breaking point. The difference with most torrenters is that after a few slaps on the wrist they generally learn their lesson. That clearly wasn't the case here.
Yes, they did both of those things, but at the same time they are simply nice people. I mean, they are always very logical in the way they behave. It's like you can always feel that deep inside they are nice. I am not sure how to explain it better, but maybe you are able to understand what I mean. Even if I am permanently banned now, I am still glad I was able to get invited to hdbits for the second time because now I see all of those people in a different light. So, if I ever think of them again, I will think of them not as elitist jerks, but as people who are knowledgeable and intelligent.Quote:

Seems like you're aware that you egged them on enough to the point where they can only interpret it as a request to ban you. So you put no blame on them, because you have already admitted to yourself that this is something you created.
