level 1 - source code
level 2 - no password txt file uploaded, leave pass blank
level 3 - /level4/password.txt
level 4 - create forum and change mailto addy

How the hell? Can someone give me some insight into how you actually pull it off? I find it extremely interesting, and as "muchspl2" said, its not "real hacking", so therefore the rules of the board don't apply, and hopefully one of you could tell me how to do it, as I would be VERY happy if someone was nice enough. Thanks!

i did the 1st 2 levels however the pass h4x0r never worked for me on the first i did it differently i think i got to level 3 and what decompiler should i use?? just a program name will be fine

look in the html source for a certain .swf file and download it.

inside you will find the user name and password.

Got it. Level 3 also. I've never felt more stupid than on level 3, thinking abcde was the password, then actually finding the real password. Damn :rolleyes: Level 4 is odd though..........

Ok I kind of have a idea what I am doing but this is my first time doing this kind of thing so im on level 2 and I downloaded DJ JAVA DECOMPILER and I click on File in internet explorer and I click edit with note pad and I then copy all of the stuff in there in to the Java Decompiler then I can see all kinds of things and I think I found the password but I dont know where to find the username. Can anybody help.

3 - view source, but there's a trick
4 - java decompiler required
5 - no decompiler required
6 - packet sniffer
7 - user-agent (curl/zspoof/spooph)
8 - dictionary attack

also, that was a forum where you can find some easier wargames.

after beating try2hack, you should try Aracnum (www.aracnum.co.nz) or SlyFX (www.slyfx.com). then, you can try Mod-x (www.mod-x.co.uk), but that one gets difficult very fast.
